    Summary from my Closed Beta experience.

    -Firstly I apologise for posting this here and not in the closed beta section. Reason is that Ive, as many others, have been waiting for Ubi to fix the CB forum access all weekend and now the beta is over. So Im posting it here, in hope that they will see it and possibly move it to the correct location as they have done with so many other posts over the weekend.-


    This is my experience with the closed beta. The bugs I saw, the things I wish for and the things I found weird.





    Helicopter controls:_


    • It takes some time getting used to, but they are still weird and clunky. + There is no yaw, no pedals. Which just adds to the weirdness of the controls. Why not use something similar to GTAV? Cyclic, Collective and pedals.



    • Helicopter Throttle: The throttle, specially throttle down is very quick. Tap it once when you are close to the ground and the heli slams into the dirt.


    Night Vision:_


    • I wish when you used night vision your character would wear nightvision goggles.
    • And your teammates, if they equip NV you would see it on their character aswell.



    NPC Banter:_


    • The banter between the AI is just ridiculous. The jokes are juvenile and stupid. I mean, the random cockholsters they throw out. Firstly its a stupid word no one uses, secondly it is said with zero passion. Like reading a sentence off a piece of paper you dont really care about.
    • The Voiceacting in general between characters, specially your teamates is some of least engaging voiceacting I have heard in years. Are they Voiceactors or random people from the office?






    NPC AI:_ ​

    • AI teammates are dumb as dirt. They run straight through enemy camps for no reason.
    • Enemy AI; I shot a guy without detection. He was the onlyone there. Yet, as he died he got on the radio and called for backup. He kept talking even though he was dead on the ground.




    • Enemies shooting at you often dont even shoot in your general direction, yet they are hitting you. The most common bulletspray from the AI enemy is straight up into the air, and still hitting you even though you might be behind them.




    • Enemy NPC runs to helicopter, gets into the helicopter with no door opening. Takes off INSTANTLY. No powerup, just bam, gone. They should spend just as much time powering up as the player does to get a helicopter airborne.



    • Enemy detection radius seems way too small. You can walk past a camp and they dont notice you unless you step on their toes.


    • Enemy detection AI; sneaking up to a corner of a house. AI spots something, begins to panick. Says the ghosts are there. You slowly back up, behind the corner, out of sight before the detection arch is full. Enemy AI goes back to normal behaviour.
    • -1. You just saw me! you said you saw me! Then you go back to act like nothing was ever there...
    • -2.He has never seen me before, and he instantly says its a ghost. An elite military task force that doesnt exist on any records. They act in darkness, in secret. Yet this random militia guy in the middle of Bolivia instantly knows who you are just by seeing the tip of your shoe!

    Vehicle Control:_


    • Vehicle control in general feels odd. Too sensetive maybe. There is either no turn or full turn into unwanted 180's. Took some time getting used to, but it still feels out of order.



    Hitmarker sounds:_


    • Are they really needed? It makes the shooting sound and feel weird. You fire a bullet, then wait for an audible confirmation that you hit like in COD. awfull.



    Explosions:_


    • ​The explosions sound muffled. All of them. A grenade goes of right in front of you, sounds like its happening far away.



    Difficulty:_


    • ​It seems too easy. I started on the default one, but quickly upped it to Ghost. I didnt see any difference. It was still too easy. Tactics not needed. Rambo with a brain worked everywhere =/



    Resources:_


    • The resource animation is cool the first 3 times. But not the 100th. It would be ok if it was shared among everyone on the team. One person tags a resource, all 4 gets credit.
    • As it is now, teamsplitting is a bad idea. Who wants to sit back giving coverfire when the others go in and get resources for them self?



    Appearance:_


    • ​Clothing, does camouflage have any effect? Does the ghillie help in tall grass or is it only for looks? Im 99% of the latter. But it would be fun/nice if there was some effect.
    • Im missing flashlights. I know we have Nightvision, but I like flashlights too. An added bonus to flashlights was if they could be detected by enemies from a distance. But as we know, the AI is blind as a dead bat.



    Lights:_


    • Shoots out lights, still light there.



    Mines:_


    • Most of the time unable to place mine on ground.





    After Death:_


    • Often after I die or get revived all my sounds are muffled. Like ive been close to an explosion for a long time. At times all sound dissapear all together. Only to return 10-15 minutes later.



    Multiplayer coop bugs:_



    • I have supressor on. But to my team they see me without supressor. When I fire, I hear a supressed sound. They hear a loud shot without supressor. This happened to the others aswell.


    • Sitting on the side of a helicopter and aiming downsight locks you in that position and in that seat. Only way to get out of it is to exit the heli.




    • I fly a helicopter. It looks all good. But to my teamates they see a helicopter flying with NO sound. The rotors are NOT moving. And they see me running ontop of the helicopter falling off over and over again. This also happened when others flew.They couldnt see me in the heli, but outside of it. falling off over and over. This also happened when driving cars.



    Side missions:_


    • Gasoline sidemission. Stopped the truck. Tagged it. The animation of me tagging the truck starts. But he just drops the tag on the ground and we get mission failed.





    Overall:_


    • For being a beta, for me, it ran very nicely. I had a couple of fps drops a few times for a second or so. But that was it. Ive not encountered any horrible bugs or had any crashes. But there are some things that could be looked into, as mentioned above, and in several other places in this forum (IF Ubi fixed the forum and managed to give us access)
    • The game it self looks good and I look forward to exploring the other 20 zones on march 7th.




    Any thoughts?



    So there you have it. I hope this will reach the people who have use for it. Sorry again for posting it in the wrong place. But what else is there to do. We are still waiting for access/answers.
    Sorry for any gramatical or typos, english is not my native language, so bear with me.

    Also I would like to see....

    1. When you modivie the HUD that you can put out these shiny orang stuff which marks the enemys bevor you even spot them. I just whant a orang point when i spot them.
    2. More improvment of the IA when going up to ghost. They are still too dumm.
    3. I would like to see a compass, so you know in which direction you walk, when the Minimap is off.
    4. More reward when you do your stuff stealth.

    Sorry for my bad english. These are the Things i would like to ade to the List of Things that should improve to the Release.

    A compass would be a nice addition. I cant remember if there was one when using binoculars or the drone.

    Ohh really? Didn't see it, but thats nice, but i would by happyer if there is one in the HUD without Minimap.
