    The Game Needs More Time

The amount of work required to make the game optimized, fun, and less buggy is incredible. It's hard to state everything because I'm not a formal QA, and I didn't take the pain-staking amount of time writing and recording everything that happened, but there was a lot of it. From the game having poor FPS when I have dual 1080s, 5820K, and SSD to the game having helicopters blow up in front of me due to invisible objects: This game is not enjoyable for very long. For a $60 game it needs an extreme amount of polish. I know it is difficult to push back release dates, and I know it is most likely not up to the team; but this game needs to be delayed for at least a year (or the end of this year). I am sure most people will understand; and releasing the game in its current state will not on tarnish the Ghost Recon franchise, but ruin Ubisoft's credibility.

To sum it up the best I can:
The game is incredibly repetitive with a simple process of just roaming and taking objectives from the enemy. I know it's only a beta, but I can see how the game is going to be the same thing over and over again. It's hard to explain, and I know without an explanation it is practically meaningless; but I have to get this out. I'll try my best to explain: When a game just has you enter these random (but beautiful) locations and you do the same thing (get a piece of equipment or person), it is not fun. It's fun the first few times, but when there's no variation between them there's no reason to keep going other than to level-up your character and obtain weapons and attachments. The game needs non-repetitive missions, more things to unlock and do (not just guns and outfits, although there's a ton of them), and a more convincing AI/story that makes the game interesting.

Then there's the horrible acting and lines for the cut-scenes and characters. They're not funny and they're done very poorly, and to me that's because the team didn't have enough time. We've never had this problem in the past, and for some reason it begins when a publisher attempts to push an extremely large game in a relatively small time frame. The flying is a pain, and it doesn't offer much control to the player. To better understand what I am saying I'll explain it like this: you cannot adjust the relative pitch manually, and you cannot strafe left to right. In my opinion ArmA has the best flight controls of any video game of all time. They're not too difficult to learn, and they're not so simplified that you don't have control of your chopper/plane. This needs a definite overhaul. The things I do love are the customization for both characters and weapons; and I do love the level-up system with the resource requirements as well as obtaining guns from specific crates.

I'd need much more time to get into things specifically, but I hope in some sort of way someone can understand my feelings about this game; and that I've made some kind of impact (although I doubt it). I want the game to be good, and I've tried to not judge it too harshly since it's a beta; but with only a month or so away from release there is no way this game is going to be fun and without technical issues. I wish the developers the best, and I hope the game receives the polish it deserves. I love you Ubisoft, I love Ghost Recon, and I love games; please don't release it until it is ready.

Since when is 5 years a relatively small time frame?

I stated that it is a relatively small amount of time, not just a small amount of time. I'll explain: Compared to the previous Ghost Recon titles and titles that this studio has created this is by far the largest not just in geographical scale, but also in ambition. Looking at the current state of the game, it seems that the time given to create the game was relatively small for such a large task.

Besides that, why would someone just pick out that single piece of information out of such a large statement.
