So Ive played several hours of the game. Although this may appear later on in the game, i have a few things that I think would improve the gameplay overall.
1) AI for enemy NPC's - I feel that the AI needs to be smartened up. They need to be able to work together well and flank when they know our position. They should take cover better and know how to use surpressive fire to allow their teamates to flank me.
2) Helicopters - Aside from the weird controls, helicopters are too easy to get. That is not a bad thing though. The problem with it is that it makes it too easy to position yourself at an enemy base. I would like to see Radar towers and SAMs to take out air vehicles to make it harder for me to land in a position that benefits me greatly. If i want to be able to use a point of entry there should be some difficulty for it. I know that this is a drug cartel, so it doesnt have to be Radar towers. Strategically hidden enemy lookouts can be placed around the outside of a base which will force me to use Heat Vision to be able to find them, before I get near a base. Miniguns can take the place of SAMs if I decide to just fly into a base with a helicopter. The front entrance should be more difficult to infiltrate because it should be the most heavily gaurded. So the back entrance could be laced with trip mines and the like. Gaurd dogs that can smell when we are nearby and notify the enemy. This could be extended to entire side missions which will disable an entire network of radar towers to make the main mission easier besides just giving us Rebel upgrades. This leads to POINT 3
3) Difficulty - The increased difficulty should make the enemy more aware of things rather than making the enemy harder to kill. If we take the front door with guns blazing, response times should be better. I noticed that even if the enemy is alerted, it takes SO LONG for enemy reinforcements to come by for backup. It should be that if we sneak in, by the time the enemy is aware we are there, we are long gone. But if we go guns blazing, then enemy reinforcements should be there before we can extract. TLDR: Make Stealth harder, but to counter this, Make Guns blazing ****ing brutal.
4) Driving mechanics. Just needs to be improved honestly.
All in all, this game has a lot of potential. The gameplay should be improved overall this way, to make missions more dynamic and enjoyable. If people complain about the difficulty, that is what the levels are for.
