Beta Feedback - Controls and Gameplay

So, been hitting the Beta for a lil' while now. Here are my imrpessions.

Whilst the game is brimming with tons of great ideas, and a coherent, really fun to explore open world, there is mainly one thing that stopped me from enjoying it to its fullest.

And that's summarized in two words : Character Control.

To explain : once upon a time, in Ghost Recon Future Soldier, there was a magnificient cover system, which allowed for fast, precise, and reactive movements across covers, with things like auto-running from cover to cover, a COVER BUTTON (the thing that allows you to toggle cover mode on or off), and a very intense, and satisfying, running speed during an engagement.

Where did all of that go ? I feel like I'm handling some truck now. The character movement is sloppy and imprecise, and let's not even get me started on the cover handling. Auto-cover, really ? It's a slow and terribly frustrating system. On top of getting me killed a few dozen times, of course, I seem to be unable to properly negociate corners, or running from cover to cover. Heck, The Division did it right ! That's the cover system you should be usin', if you want a more recent example.

Well, with that out of the way, gotta say shooting and blowing stuff up is very satisfying and fun, sound design is quite solid as well, and I do really like the versatility they give you to carry out missions.

Welp, that's pretty much it. TL ; DR > Cover system is terribly frustrating and annoying, please bring back Future Soldier/The Division's system.

Still, good job, Ubisoft. I've had fun. Just correct that one issue, and you'd have a bloody amazing game.

Hope you all have a good time in it.

Agree completely! The cover system is sh!t! Character movement is also very sloppy. Might i add that the orders wheel isnt very precise either. These things seriously need some work because its pretty bad as it stands right now. I also think Ghost difficulty isnt very challenging although it could just be because these are low difficulty missions early in the game.

On the subject of controls, why can we not use modifier keys? Such as ALT+1
I use a razer orbweaver and logitech G502 mouse
