It would be great if PS4 players can record and save their recorded videos on PS4 hdd to watch as well as share and upload those For Honor videos to youtube. It would be free advertising for Ubisoft, and would expand the variety of gameplay videos people can watch on youtube.
Most people prefer watching prerecorded videos instead of livestreams. And PS4 gamers playing For Honor can contribute to the community daily new gameplay videos to watch online if they aren't blocked from recording and uploading their gameplay sessions on youtube.
some friends and I like uploading vids on youtube for PS4 games we play, and For Honor is really our #1 game we would like to share post launch gaming sessions online for those seeking more variety of play styles and one of a kind For Honor experiences they wouldn't find from other youtubers. the more vids from more different For Honor players, the greater variety of gameplay videos and exciting For Honor experiences to see.
So yes, For Honor has to not block share recording nor uploads cause a lot of PS4 gamers refuse to buy a PC or camera to record vids. with PS4 Share, it's easy and doesn't cost devices to record and upload vids to youtube. So is For Honor gonna be PS4 share record/upload friendly like other popular multiplayer games?
Welcome to the For Honor Forums! The option to record the last few minutes of gameplay and take screenshots is already present in For Honor. By pressing the Share button on the controller, you should have the ability to save your desired clip or screenshot, view it in your Capture Gallery and upload it to social media.
Thanks! So we can also record up to 14 minutes of video to save and upload? or only the last few minutes? or is the last few minutes a separate highlight feature?Originally Posted by UbiJurassic Go to original post
I believe the maximum length you can record on PS4 is 15 minutes. If you are looking to upload it through the PS4 though, it will limit how long the clip can be. As someone else suggested, if you are looking to record and upload full length clips to YouTube, you'll need to invest in a capture card.Originally Posted by guest-LD04u1JG Go to original post
I dont have access to a PC at household, and capture card money is better helping to get For Honor. I dont like editing videos
and I uploaded over a 200 videos on youtube easily, quickly and painlessly using PS4 Share record and direct youtube share upload.
while my channel is not intended for self promotion (thats why I won't say the channel name here),
I have over 10,000 views on my channel, multiple subscribers and growing.
I just share videos for those that seek more gameplay videos to watch on youtube, and some appreciate it.
I'm sure at least tens of thousands of players (maybe hundreds of thousands) take advantage of PS4 youtube uploads, where their gameplay would otherwise not be uploaded nor witnessed, most don't like resorting to PC or cameras or devices to bring their gameplay recordings to youtube.
a flashdrive nor cables are even needed to direct upload, its just share twice to record, share and then save. then go to videos folder and share upload it to youtube channel, easy, saves money, and doesn't require a PC. the video and sound quality is great too
thanks! even if it's 12 minutes long videos, I'm all set with recording. I dont expect to record full matches in one vid, but I can record again right after it says it made a full recording, and make them multipart if necessary.Originally Posted by UbiJurassic Go to original postyes, being able to record match vids for 10+ minutes is great, and does help the game and community have more kinds of gameplay matches, point of views, and playstyles to see.
it could get even more interested in getting For Honor
