My worries were right...

First off the good things.

+ The World is stunning looking on PS4 Pro
+ The Sound of the world is truly amazing through the home cinema
+ Character customization

The Negatives

- Does not feel like a Ghost Recon game
- Gunplay is more like Watchdogs or Far Cry than Ghost Recon
- Guns have no weight to them it feels like im firing an air rifle
- Awful awful awful voice acting, it really is aimed at the teenage market
- AI is awful, As usual in Ubi games if seen and you get away and flank all enemies know exactly where you are even if you have went prone or the other side is you can be 20ft infront of 8 guys and they do not see you!
- Vehicle controls are really bad
- Open world games like this need a really good story to make it all come together rather than blank canvas
- No need for the open world in a Ghost Recon game
- No PvP (although it would most likely be awful anyway)
- Far to much emphasis on vehicles
- Can play stealthy but the game is more geared and plays better if you play it like Far Cry or Just Cause
- Usual Ubiness in that theres more collecting stuff (tagging) rather than good content


Such a depressing state of affairs that the series has ended up like this, For me the best part of the game is the sound of the world it's fantasti.

This comes out a week after Sony's new open world game Horizon and at this point i think Horizon is looking way better.

weird, here I am always hiding in the bush yet the enemy always spots me from... oh I dunno 30 meters away, off from normal human field of view, behind a solid plate of aluminium? what difficulty you're on?

Flaw... can you give us more info on the difficulty level, whether you were playing solo or Co-Op, HUD On or Off.

Got a Beta code myself but I can not login to redeem it so I have to ask all of the questions I can from people I trust like to play a real GR game and not just pick flowers and go for a ride in the beautiful country sides LOL

Ghost Difficulty, Solo & Hud on.

No doubt this game is for you and friends to just be hooning around like jumping off cliffs, Races, Digger battles etc etc that is where you will get the most fun from this game. Sadly that's not what i want from a Ghost title but im sure they'l be fun to be had for those that do want that (online GTA fans)

This is usually my experience also. Im on Ghost difficulty and have all HUD off except the crosshair.

Ahhh crap, just like I called it a couple of years ago in one of my initial posts but I was shot down by all the Chosen Ones that went to Paris and now here we are, a month from release and what we will get is an enjoyable beautiful world with no GR Content and everyone telling you that you can play it tactical if you go tactical LOL.

To top it all off, I butchered the Beta code I was given by trying multiple things to redeem it and now I won't even get to play the beta... oh well, Karma works in mysterious ways ha ha ha ha

terrible, I save just 4 things

- character customisation
- guns customisation
- and displaying 2 guns on the backpack
- original theme (not the radio music, damn I hate those songs)

gameplay is clunky
driving vehicles totally arcade with cartoony physics

even playing on Ghost, acquire the M40 and 1/2 shot everyone from 50m, very easy, will be boring fast

3rd person Far Cry feeling, not a tactical game

looks like they're going to sell a beta that requires another year of development, just like the division
but at least the division gameplay was great since day one, Massive is just unable to balance it

If you enjoyed Far Cry, you will enjoy this. Except you can actually play the campaign with friends.

OP; What Ghost Recon games have you actually played? The combat plays out exactly like Future Soldier. I doubt you played anything older than that.

I loved Far Cry 3 but dont like this!

Future Soldier was awful and this is no better, I've played every Ghost Recon. Your trippin if you think this game plays like them!

i do have to ask those who did play the game so many years ago...uhm excuse me folks, there no way your version is better than the version about to release so either you bs us and simple made yourself believe the bs. either way i was never convinced about their statements and now i be even less so. cause 1. their View on whats "Good"/GR" are completely different than mines or 2. they bs me.

i had zero faith in this game so it only had UP to do and what does it do? not just confirm everything i thought it would be but digs so it can downward as well. as it stands right now this game needs another year or 2. sadly this game is worth 20 or 30$ at max


Tip for any future UBI games for f sake just copy GTA/the Witcher 3 at this point cause you simple do not understand how to make open worlds games after 10 years of doing so.
