The division need some kind of ping restriction on matchmaking.

I play The Division from South Korea and my closest server is at japan.

Normally I have no problem while playing LZ , DZ, UG but have problem on Survival and Last stand.

I know it is still playable even if you see 'Poor connection to host server'.

But when it comes to Survival and Last stand, sometimes you will be matchmaked to allmost unplayable session.

Everyone are running on air, my shots are not registering, I get hit even after several seconds going in to cover, and can't interact with boxes or beacons.

This is the matchmaking problem that forcing players to session which is on too far away server.

I hope Massive tune matchmaking to include rule about network connection.

I don't want to give up session anymore because of force connecting those unplayable servers.

you know, a game called Mechwarrior online solved this issue by forcing players to have 3 options. You have Oceanic, European, and US servers. You pick the ones with the best ping and BAM there you go. No need to worry about ****ty ping. the ISSUE is that they wanted no of the players separated and, that to me, is a horrible idea as in a Team based game, Understanding Players is DETRIMENTAL to knowing how your team is doing. Heck, you don't even know if a player is going to go rogue by what they're saying which has SAVED ME more times then i can count.

Same thing with WOW. I'm from central europe and playing on a UK based server, my ping is usually 30-50ms.

Obviously they are not draining resource from theyr live infrastructure for the PTS, that's why it happens to be connected in china.

It will be less worst to have connection issues due to lack of server (and i have had none from the iteration of PTS3) then piss the hell out of live servers player.

Seeing you guys complaining about ~50ms is so funny.

I play from Brazil and the only server I'm directed to is the US one with an average of ~150ms hahahahaha!

Hey everyone, matchmaking is done similar to how Survival is. It tries to place you with others with the best conditions possible. After some time, if it's not able to do that the search will start expanding until it is able to fill all the slots.

Please keep in mind that the PTS servers have limited capacity, and therefore naturally a smaller number of players at any given time.

We have passed on the information and it is being looked into.

This was also said about Survival on the PTS and look what happened. Group matchmaking is broken.
