so combat is nothing like what I expected.
3rd person feels more like a console or GTA game than a ghost recon title.
I've spent the last year playing Rainbow 6 and it's very meaty in combat. This feels very much removed from the situation.
No FPS, no lean, just running around in an abstract sort of way.
Is this the only combat POV setting?
Nah, that crazy! Now excuse me while I complain to the cook about this chicken not tasting like steak.Originally Posted by Keglagek Go to original post
I would say more like you are the 9 yrs old because Ghost Recon started as a First Person Shooter until consoles got their kiddie controllers on it with aim assist and UBI holding you by the hand so you could shoot something other than the broadside of a barn. And I wouldn't hold my breath on that big word you threw around... tactical. GR has not been tactical since OGR and a bit GRAW where you could at least command all of your teammates.Originally Posted by xDIGITALxDEATH Go to original post
But hey... at least you seem to be serious.
Started, then became 3rd person as it's standard. You have changed nothing said. Keep plying the " i;m super leet, gamez too ez for muh skills, been here since first GR" bit though.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
Have to agree with giveMeTactical, it's very far away from a "tactical" shooter. Difficulty (especially on ghost) needs to be higher - does not come anywhere close to the punishing level of difficulty on GRAW/GRAW2 or their predecessors. Combat feels stale fast as it does not require explicit cooperation of teammates to get through - you can essentially one man army all situations.
Everyone is entitled to an informed opinion. In my opinion, it feels nothing like GRAW 2. The combat is far too easy, AI does not have very good situational awareness. Especially on 'ghost difficulty', the game should be significantly more punishing.IT feel just like GRAW 2. You've never played GR. You need to keep your opinion away
