After receiving an invite from Ubisoft for Wildlands closed beta, I decided to give it a try. The game looked pretty promising. After playing the game for 3 hours, I had already enough of it. 4 years for this lackluster. Like what were they even doing? This game feels like Far Cry 4.5 - clear out outposts, travel through a big map to play side quests that have no difference from each other whatsoever. The NPC AI is just laughable. This game gets monotonous really quick and the games physics (especially the driving physics) feel pretty unfinished. No, thanks. I'll stick to The Division.
To be fair though, the only thing I really like about Wildlands is the character customization. It's alot better than what we have in The Division.
Are you playing the closed beta?Originally Posted by Art.Van.Delay Go to original post
Well I hope that changes or I will be looking for good things from MEA. Thanks for your input.Originally Posted by Art.Van.Delay Go to original post
Lol, those are some important features to leave out of a video game.Originally Posted by Art.Van.Delay Go to original post
Tom Clancy's GTAV is exactly what I thought when I was watching some streams today. Maybe to a lesser extent, Watchdogs.
This settles it then. Ubisoft have finally stopped caring about making their gameplay good. At least when it comes to a running series or a "prototype" game (eg: The Division).
Here's hoping they can still bring out a shiny gem somewhere. It's not looking likely though. Started going downhill since Farcry Primal. But now it looks like it's getting worse and worse. Watchdogs 2 wasn't the best either. It lacked that "serious tension". Not the worst but not the best either. That last mission was a big let down (it ends with destroying some ATM machines. Seriously?) and can't even take off glasses yet you can a hat which you couldn't in WD1? That logic... Let's give players the option to remove hats yet force the players to wear glasses instead?
at least I can play Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and remember the good old days. Blacklist is also ok but it's NOT a SC game to me (action is forced on you). Beats Conviction though. Come to think of it Ubisoft have been doing the whole "1 good step forward, 2 steps back" for a while now. Was only a matter of time I guess.
