This is wrong. I show you in Klyka's conqueror guide video

In order to guarantee a side heavy after guardbreak, you need to keep same stance/guard position during the whole process and avoid spamming the heavy attack button.

Awesome guide, learned quite a few new things.

Yesterday I was dueling on my Conqueror and found out that the switching from right to left when releasing a charged heavy worked really well. If you move forward the range is longer than most opponents anticipate. Other than that I had the idea that attacking first was pointless because the attacks are slow and you cant really feint. The classes that bothered me most were the PK and Nobushi, their bleeds are really punishing in a 1v1 duel because the pace is usually a little slower.

For me the Conqueror suits my play style the best but I fear the slow attacks will make him weak against fast experienced players in the long run

i have a question, i accidentally pulled out a move, i have never seen before, i did a parry and could immediately follow up with an shieldbash like it was part of a parry followup, but i didnt do a shield bash (dash+guard break button), i just pressed the guard break button i guess, is this a thing? i am pretty sure, i didnt just dreamed of that happening

Yup! You can just push the Guard Break button while locked on after the parry for a Shield Bash.

You didn't accidentally block the attack with omniblock instead of parrying, did you?
