    Surrendering enemies

Had a quick search and nothing came up.

so as people are finding out, if you kill (that includes knocking out because apparently knocking out = a kill ?? ) surrendering enemies you get a message you are at risk of game over, but what do you do with an enemy once they have surrendered?

I stow in nearby cars if i can, but their little red dot seems to stay on the mini map endlessly, i cant kill them to remove the dot as killing enough will get you a game over.. so what the point to this game mechanic? we cant call in the rebels to do what they like with them (or so iv not found yet)
so am i just putting up with pointless surrendered red dots forever??

and another argument is, they surrender, i stuff them in a car, and drive miles away, nobody is watching them, why dont they just run off and trigger reinforcements etc??

it literally feels like an unnecessary application to the game, either let me kill him, call rebels in to extract him, or remove that annoying dot from my mini map!

    How did you do that

I've been trying to get the enemies to surrender but they always shoot me, how can they surrender?

You can always grab them, like you would when you kidnap the bosses, and it will give you the choice to release or knock out. Simply knock them out. But honestly, I just kill them, and ignore any warnings, because it won't fail your game, unless you're doing it to every enemy you encounter.

This I think was meant to be a feature in the game - but they didn’t have time to fully implement.

The only enemies that surrender are the lieutenants with INFORMATION (NPC).

On the game loading screen, it actually suggests IF you kill the enemy lieutenants (not the INFO types) then the other enemies are more likely to surrender.

    This never happens.

I can only assume that it was something that was meant to be in the game, but the ran out of time.

I saw this happen to non lieutenant cartel troops several times, never understood how this works.

I have never seen ANY enemy surrender except the lieutenants - and specifically the ones with INFORMATION, some mission based NPC targets will do, the ones you have to capture, and possibly Pilots? When doing a supply plane/chopper raid...

    Normal grunts NEVER surrender.

I think the surrending enemies is there just to make it feel a bit more real, i'm not used to this in games so I have killed some of them because I didn't see they had given up , I think 2 out 5 was kept alive , but usally I use the AI team and myself to snipe the locations almost empty for enemies before I enter the location, so there isn't many left to surrender .
