P2P seems more like a prototype than an official network system for a 2017 game. Is Ubisoft considering to use dedicated servers or they will neglect this game that bad.
... I've heard some people say smth. about a new system is coming. And that new system will probably satisfy everyone. I bet it'll be like the Rainbow 6 Siege-system. Gameplay on servers, Chat&Voicechat via peer2peer
