The answer to that my friend is: reach. Youtubers hit millions of subscribers for some of the bigger channels, it's all about numbers, and reach. At the end of the day, Ubisoft aren't just a game developer, they're a publisher and a company -- a company that wants to make money. Those keys translate into hits for the YTers, revenue for the YTers in some cases -- but they also translate into more people than just the 3 you can invite with a key.Originally Posted by DarkERIKVIPER Go to original post
It is pretty much business, might not seem fair, but every company does it in the game industry. Betas are pot luck for the most part, I've applied for plenty -- never got in. I got into this one though, which is pretty cool and I'm grateful for that chance.
Yep, you're not wrong I don't think. Same happened with For Honor, didn't get in, and on the 9th iirc there's an Open Beta.Originally Posted by inthegamewayne Go to original post
Yeah, you're spot on.Originally Posted by inthegamewayne Go to original post
But if they doing a open beta in two weeks isn't that to late because in 4 weeks it's the release date for wildlands. I hope they doing a open beta for gr wildlands but how does that work do we sign in for it or is it on the store under demo games? Btw thank you for explaining to me. Sorry for being rude.
There was a closed beta for For Honor recently, now on the 9th there's an open beta. It'll just be like a demo on the store of the console etc. The open betas tend to be more of a demo, less of a stress test in the case of Wildlands because it's a 4 player co-op game multiplayer wise, rather than a big Division style game.Originally Posted by DarkERIKVIPER Go to original post
As for being rude, you're excited, I get thatJust remember that you're more likely to get a better response with a nicer approach

No problem. I am pretty sure that they have said that they are doing an open Beta. That will serve as more for just hype and advertising but also stress testing the servers for launch. Like I mentioned previously, The division done an open Beta pretty much in the same time frame as we have here. It was only a few weeks to release when they done that. The open Beta will probably just be on the market place of your preferred platform when they do it.Originally Posted by DarkERIKVIPER Go to original post
I totally agree with you you signup for this beta ok i was a bit late signing up but somehow they give indeed free codes away and people that signed up get passed
