Just wondering I have pre ordered the Gold addition of For Honor on steam and know I won't be able to play in the open beta as I live in Australia and its only available in the US which sucks but I understand why, I would still like to earn the open beta rewards is that at all possible?

What makes you think the open beta is US only? I live in tassie and had no issues playing the last round of closed beta.

when I change my location to AU/Asia this comes up for the open beta sign up.

If this is true I am having a very hard time trying to sign up or even find where to sign up...

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don;t think there is a sign-up. Just download and play.

At the bottom of the For Honor website there's a "BETA REGISTRATION" so I don't know why that's there than. The whole page is very unclear. More information than when it's being held would be appreciated.

As of now there is no Open beta play now button i'm guessing it will become available on the 6th of February but I would like a confirmation of this off someone from Ubisoft.
So when the 6th does come round I know It will appear.

It probably still is the resident button for Closed Beta sign up.
The link will have been removed, as there is no longer a reason for signing up, as the open beta will appear in your uplay shop automatically, probably under free games.
