    Roman Faction: Steel Legion

Lots of people on this forum already speculating on a Roman Faction, which would be freakin awesome. Hows this sound for a Roman Faction:

    The Steel Legion-Background
The bountiful lands of the Legion went untouched by the cataclysm that decimated rival lands. They had no need to squabble like children over the last precious resources of their neighbors lands. They had no need to march forth, safe and prosperous in the cradle that was their homelands. And yet...march they did. For power, for ambition, for their ruthless determination the Legions brought into the fold one by one the lands around, forging an empire the likes the world has never nor will ever see again. And now, they come for us. Are any of us prepared? Do we have the strength to stem the tide? Who dares stand before the peerless Steel Legions.

    The Immortal - Vanguard
    Weapon - Falx
Appearance is roughly that of a mid to late period Legionnaire but rather tall and strong.
Fighting Style - Wielding his sickle - like massive Falx, the Immortal is supposed to be an aggressive, quick striking vanguard with the ability to infinite chain either his light or heavy attacks but not switch between them during. Possessing simple combos similar to the other vanguards, his light strikes come out fast, particular when moving towards his opponent, and his heavy attacks hit as hard as the raider himself. Has no unblockable attacks but similar to the Berserker, can't be interrupted out of chain attacks. Rather then a traditional guard break he pummels an opponent with the long hilt of his weapon. This combines his guard break and throw into the same motion so can't be stopped but does relatively little stamina damage, does not stun, and doesn't throw an opponent very far. Overall a character that favors chasing down an opponent and overpowering them with ruthless combos.
Durathra has an infamous reputation. When the legions began their conquest, they were the first to fall under our gaze. Yet they were the last to fall. Leading them were behemoths no longer fitting to be called men. Their enemies know them as death. To those who follow them, they will live forever. They do not create legends, for each and every one has always been a legend made flesh. Swift and strong, powerful and proud, none may challenge The Immortals.

    The Centurion - Heavy
Weapon - Spatha - Scuta combo
Appearance is that of an enormous praetorian guard, fancy helmet and all with decorative armor.
Fighting Style - The indomitable wall that is the Centurion is a defensive powerhouse. His three way guard can block even unblockable attacks albeit at the cost of a huge amount of stamina. His guard stays up even when performing light attacks but with a twist. His light attacks come out in a different direction then the direction hes currently blocking. This means he can counter attack with relative safety when using lighter attacks, but the trade-off is they do rather low amounts of damage and he can't chain attacks for long. Furthermore while he can guard while performing light attacks for heavier attacks he must drop his guard, luckily when performing a heavy attack against a guard break the next heavy attack in chain can't miss. His own guard break transitions into a shield smash that stumbles an opponent into the direction he chooses and causes them to fall if they hit a wall. The Centurion is a blend of calculated aggression, and nigh invincible defense. Towering over his opposition.
Our enemies think we bring only number. That in our tranquility and prosperity we are all naught but soft incapable warriors. Our enemies could not be more wrong. While it is true that we may cast a hundred leigemen upon your walls without thought to loss, one of those leigemen will be more then you could have ever bargained for. The Centurion leads our armies, greater then any man in every way. His tactics know no equal. His shield has never failed. None have toppled any Centurion and no one ever will. Tell me then, who can oppose us! While we have The Centurions.

    The Foederati - Assassin
Weapon - Pugio - Hasta combo
Appearance is that of a Gaelic/Celtic warrior but with weapons from Imperia
Fighting Style - No part of the Foederati's kit is designed for them to fight fair. Like all assassins they are quick and nimble preferring to dodge attacks than block them but unique among them is the damage bonus he gets for striking someone in the back. His attacks can disorient an opponent with their complexity, attacking from multiple directions and distances all in the same chain. Light attacks are extremely fast and make use of the short Pugio to cause maximum damage up close and personal or dodge and follow through. His heavy attacks can clear distance both to and away from his opponent making use of the long range Hasta's qualities as a spear. Truly though its his throws which set him apart. To make the most use of his bonus damage for striking an opponent in the back all his throws from guard break turn his opponent completely around, or place himself around to their back. Properly mixing up his dynamic fight style, or preying on those already engaged to his allies, can turn the Foederati into your enemies nightmare.
There are dark places in the boundless lands of The Legion. Walk among the tres, listen to the land, and you just might find that it is watching you back. It was here in forgotten lands that we first found the Foederati. Back then they were directionless, possessed only of hearts forged of solid steel. Without compassion in any way. We gave them purpose. They gave us loyalty. We gave them weapons. They gave our enemies fear. Tread carefully when all around there's not a sound. For the Foederati have no mercy.

    The Gladiator - Hybrid
Weapon - Trident - Barbed Net combo
Appearance is that of a Murmillo, favoring flashy armor and a taunting guise
Fighting Style - Ah the classic. These guys are known first and foremost for their ability to control a fight. They do not beat their opponent they toy with them. After all gladiators/gladiatrix are sporty fellows. Their light attacks with the trident prod at opponents weak points, capable of following up a successful guard throw with a free light attack at a fair range. Their heavy attacks deal extra damage any time an opponent is on the ground and they can put an opponent on the ground, if the opponent is already out of stamina, when they try and block a forward dash heavy. Their guard breaks are atypical of any from any class as it is how they use their net. The net has very good reach for a guard break and wraps around an opponent inflicting a very slight bleed. It can pull them around in a direction he chooses and if the character makes contact with any surface deals a large amount of stamina damage. If this drains their stamina to zero they fall over as if they had zero stamina at the beginning of the throw. Harass your opponent into making mistakes and then capitalize when they are tired and out of energy. Play the battle as if it were nothing but a game....
Know you not the stories told of the gladiators? Some are pressed into battle. Others may volunteer. Some learn to love battle, and some live long enough to despise it. Every Gladiator though, was born to it. They taunt and jab at their opponents. They stall the fight hoping to preserve the sights, the sounds, the very smell of every glorious aspect of beautiful battle. And when the enemy is no longer the entertainment they seek. When their will is broken and boredom overtakes the Gladiator. Only then will those foolish enough to play the Gladiators game know death. There are many of us you may fight. Prey you never fight The Gladiator.

I'd buy this DLC. Whaddya think is this the Roman faction you want to see in the future?

You might have issues with copyright, there is a game called Gladius which activision owns all rights to now that Lucas Arts studio is no longer existing, so I'd be very careful about making Roman archetypes based on a faction known as Imperia because that's very similar to the archetypes in that game.

Care to elaborate? If you meant story wise think of it as a "whats next" situation. After the current plot thread is resolved with whats her name trying to convince everyone to kill each other if they wanted to push forward with the story there's a couple of options. Either A) She comes back saturday morning cartoon villain style, B) Greater danger from within C) Greater danger from without. These guys satisfy greater danger from without option.

There won't be any new faction soon. The year 1 DLC will contain 6 new warriors wich can be either related to some of the factions in some way (leaving us with 6 warriors per faction) or act as "Free Agents".

I think we`ll see other factions but not added to this game. I think if the game is highly successful youll see an expansion of factions added to the FH universe. There is such a deep and rich history of warriors to touch on throughout history that there is a ton of possibilities. I can imagine by the third game of the franchise having about 60 warriors (lets stop calling them heroes. really hope ubi changes this) to choose from to battle it out which would be insane!!!
