Hello reader!
I am a huge fan of the Dominion Mode and minions and I really hope that Ubi even builds more out of that
My ideas for a more dynamic Dominion experience are following ones:
1) Let small groups of minions (maybe 4-5) cruise through the map, while the main force runs to the centre. This is just for the eye, to see small groups fighting each other, to make it a bit more chaotic ^^
2) Whenever a zone is captured, let a sergeant with 3-4 minions spawn at the spawn point of the team and run to the captured zone and defend it. So there would be even a small resistance at a captured zone, if it's held long enough till enforcement arrives ... even a sergeant and some minions are slayed in less then 10 seconds.
3) If the centre is taken, let the minions even burst out further and maybe even try to storm the spawn location of the enemy team AND the zone near of it. So it would be more pressure about controlling the centre and it would hugely effect the whole match if the centre gets out of controll. It would make an impact and create more possibilites for the match to evolve, just by giving minions more range to push forward.
4) Add some archers to the match, which run to proper locations on the map. They are in the campaign and they make sense, so why not in Dominion?
5) Let sergeants spawn among the minions of a BREAKING team. Makes it more epic, to give them a kind of "last reinforcement".
6) Let sometimes a catapult blast go in randomly. It makes all more rageous and chaotic and also dynamic
All these points would really add a lot of action to a match and not even require much work to implement ...
The last point I want to mention could maybe also be regarded as a proposition for another LONGER moba based mode ... it is that the battle shouldn't be over, when the gate is stormed!
Here is where the where it really comes to success or failure. The battle could continue in the courtyard and then it could be about storming the castle.
Would be really nice to have some maps with this additional feature!

Ad1) It's a bit too "tiny" at the moment and they are just there at the very beginning.
On larger maps with more players per side, yes.
This is the kind of stuff I suggested to them in my feedback from the Alpha.
Things like castle sieges, with drawbridges that you have to reach the handle of to lower so you can get in.
Fights could break out around the handle, protecting it, trying to stop the enemy getting in.
Various seige devices, burning oil you could drop onto attackers from the walls as they try to get in.
Catapults you could man.
Breakable walls so you could force your way into the castles from unexpected directions.
Siege mode basically.
Combined with the Faction War theme this would make for some really fun gameplay. A Viking team attacking a Samurai castle and it influencing the Faction War.
It could be so epic.
It would basically be the melee combat version of what they have done in R6 Siege.
I hope they start to think big at some point and go beyond the 4 vs 4 small map mode.
I can't claim it was me they listened to, but I suggested that added a portcullis you could drop onto an enemy as they tried to get in and in the beta they added a droppable portcullis.
So maybe they're listening!

It could even be something like a special on the faction war ... like a raid which is just available at certain times per day and be a kind of longer dominion mode.
But the other main point of my thread is still to bring more spice and activity into the current Dominion Mode with more effects of zone controll and minions.
Would hope for something bigger, because for now ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEGVIPCNHpI ) there is just Tournament and Ranked Match confirmed ;b
New Heroes and Maps is all nice, but doesn't make fun if it's always the same play ...
I agree with most of the things said, but catapults would feel good. Just getting hit out of nowhere by a catapult would suck. Apart from that, with all the suggestions from the other comments and the experience of the developers, they could make something quite wonderful out of this.
