the thread has been made I think that's all we can do at this point. They read these forums and if they decide to answer the question or dodge it that's their choice. I appreciate your passion but calling them out won't paint any of us in a good light. Thank you for your time.

The link I provided on page 1 shows otherwise. I cut out a quote of 1 sentence that has Ubi specifically mentioning the reward was intended for the Closed beta. This was before we knew of an open beta as well.
I feel you're right in that we won't be getting any reward for winning the Faction war I'm just not a fan of being told 1 thing by Ubi and then hearing a different story down the road. It promotes distrust amongst fans and sours hype for the game. I appreciate you trying to steer me straight and helping answer the question. Thank you.

It's refreshing to see someone who's put so much time in have such a healthy balanced perspective on how much it matters to get a superficial reward from a closed beta. If he doesn't care then I'm damn sure you shouldn't. You really think you worked hard and must be rewarded. Special snowflake alert.
Get over it guys.
Worry about it when it's in the real game, not in a closed Beta.
Historically you get nothing from such things but the pleasure and priviledge of playing.
Try letting that be enough.

If you were then i dont understand why you're not in favor of trying to get the award Ubisoft clearly stated prior to the start of closed beta? I am not anti getting the reward. I am anti wailing like a child because you haven't got it right now, demanding a response from Ubisoft (not saying this is you, you seem reasonable enough, don't take this personally).

For the record I wouldn't care much either way. Because it was a closed Beta and I've never had a reward from a closed Beta in my life and I've been in dozens of them. Because it would be such a superficial pointless reward (some steel, a crate, an emblem, who knows) that I would forget I'd even 'earned' it within a day of playing.

Don't get me wrong, if players get the reward, fine. Everyones happy. But to act as if someone has cut your throat because you don't get it. No. Serious dose of needing to grow up and get over it.

It's not even fact that it's not being given out. We're not in the full release yet and that is when it was stated you would be able to redeem the reward. So all this 'waaaaaaaa where's my reward' stuff is a bit silly really.

"When War of the Factions comes to an end, one faction will be crowned the winner, and rewards redeemable in the full game will be given to all beta participants (with special awards going to the victorious faction)." - Ubisoft

"What’s more, everybody who participates in War of the Factions will receive an exclusive in-game reward! Additional in-game rewards will be announced later for the winning faction" - Ubisoft

At least wait until we are in the full game before talk of not trusting Ubisoft / not getting what was promised.

This whole thread slipped a gear when someone at some point decided it was official that players are not getting a reward.

Thanks for trying to stick something in my face about someone who spent 53 hours playing a samurai in closed alpha, guarantee he was on the Samurai faction during the closed beta, thus why should he care when his faction didn't win? I spent well over 60 hours in game during the closed beta, but I don't care about hours played, I only care about what Ubi had said before the closed beta began. Special snowflake **** really? Or maybe your just salty that your faction lost, and now apparently everybody wins, so your okay with that now. Kinda like the kids baseball teams that lose and cry that they don't get a trophy, so hey, lets just give everyone a trophy now. Grats on supporting the weakening of the human species if you feel that way.

If we don't get the reward, oh well, no skin off my back, still gonna play the game, we're just looking for an answer on Ubi's decision to suddenly change their mind after their FW event has ended. Probably just a marketing scheme so they can churn up more publicity for when they have their celeb stream FW to carry into the open beta FW.
