I'm keyboard + mouse player. I'm hoping for using only keyboard for the purpose of guarding and was pretty succesful with it while participating in beta. Most important thing that would be really helpfull in keyboard + mouse control is:
1) To be able to map key combinations e.g. ctrl + a for guard left, ctrl + d guard right etc.
2) Assign 2 keys for one purpose, like secondary bind
3) To be able to completely disable mouse oriented guarding ( I was using sensivity 0, but it still was influencing my guard )

Not sure about the guard. Your attack direction and guard direction are the same thing. So how can you use mouse to attack without also using it to guard? I mean, just holding the direction means you'll also automatically guard in said direction. Or do you mean you want to guard and attack entirely using a keyboard?

I use mouse only for camera orientation, lmb and rmb for attacks.
