since the goal is to be in a certain percentage, not to gain better medals, tougher tracks shouldn't mean a tougher week... right?

Percentage is determined by points, points are determined by times/medals so to get to a certain percentage, you do need to get better medals/times.

My friends list is reltively short but in previous weeks everyone on my list had over 8 million points, this week none of us have 8 million yet.

For the people who have been in the top 1% week after week this is probably a moot point, you are good at the game in general so what tracks are being played doesn't matter much. I think the people who are grinding to make top 5% to get all the blue prints probably notice the difference.

Interesting that you guys think this week is more challenging. Personally, I've noticed the opposite. I've gone from around about 20th in other weeks to ~10th this week. I quite like this selection of tracks.

I'm with you on this one Ch4er0n - I've not tried at all and am top 25. I thought because everyone will get the bike this week that no one has bothered to put crazy times down.

Well I've been top 5% each leg and gathered 8x3 blueprints, 24 in total.
Would have tried to grind top 5% this week too in order to get 8 blueprints (only would have needed 6)
But then I saw that top 10% will be enough to get 6 missing blueprints, so I'm good staying there, hehe

I thought top 10% only gets you 4 blueprints? 1 for playing and 3 for making top 50%?

Yeah, that was the case for leg 1-3
Now you get 1 for playing and 5 for top 10%
And 7 for making top 5%

So looks like they bumped it up in the last leg.
    Unless it's a bug/glitch?

The change looked intentional to me as well, but I went ahead and put myself in the top 1-2% just to make sure.

You guys are so good. But even for us lesser mortals I still liked this selection of tracks since they required more "skill", IMO.

(really wish they would add a "legendary" time to each track that requires a truly exceptional run to beat; plat is just too easy 95% of the time for the old-timers)

edit: sorry, i'm answering hanks420 above

still... it's all about percentage. technically you could get all bronze medals and be in top 1%. or even number one. if tracks are tougher, they are for every one. one need not have a better percentage in The cave than in Melancholy temple.

If you're having a harder time this week I'm sure it's because your coach is MIA. What happened to that guy? He wasn't very generous but I never complain about free stuff!
