    Balance of the Heroes

Any player can defeat any other hero with a decent strategy and a mastery of your hero's skill set.

Each hero plays differently and has different strengths and weaknesses. One must take into consideration how they play and pick a hero accordingly.

Then learn the character's moveset and timing/range of strikes/movement/dodges etc.

After that, play bots of different hero types and identify their movesets/playstyle and think up counters and strategies to beat that hero.

I've beaten every type of hero and every type of hero has beaten me.

    As an assassin type
There are hero's that are slightly easier for me to defeat and some hero's to really watch out for but that is the pros and cons of a hero's playstyle. However the most dangerous hero is one that is controlled by a skilled player regardless of the type of hero.

Vanguards are well rounded while being able to dish out serious damage
Defensive types sacrifice speed for strength or extra range
Assassin types sacrifice defense/health for mobility

Once again, each hero has their own strengths the key is to play into them.

Think about your playstyle, pick a hero accordingly and master the controls and moveset. Before going out into Multiplayer.

Threads are calling for nerfs on abilities of certain characters. All of which are avoidable in some manner (block, parry, or dodge). It seems they are just frustrated and can't get the timing down right and are calling for nerfs then shortly after calling for buffs on the hero that they use.

This game is not a button masher, it is a highly skilled game, where a single mistake can lead to death. As it was and is on the battlefield.

The game has extremely high potential, it can go into the ranks of the greatest fighting games of all time or actually be the greatest up until now and have a following like the other greats (street fighter, mortal kombat etc.)

For Honor requires a great amount of skill and has massive amounts of potential. Honestly it would be a shame if abilities and hero's are weakened to please these pitiful threads calling for nerfs.

obviously you havent seen the warlords headbutt. sure you can dodge it but you have to be ready for it and even then it tracks and may hit you. say what you want about it being possible to deal with but if you havent faced a warlord who only spams headbutt stab, you have no i dea. plus their are other moves like zone attacks but i wont go into detail. what im saying here is at highest level play certain things cant be beaten no matter how much you know the character. this mainly goes for warlord though

It is also way too early to call out any nerfs or buffs. I felt that game as quite well balanced, although you first get to know your hero and his abilities as otherwise you will be beaten up no matter what. The earliest point to draw a line and say "Hey, now let's talk about nerfs and buffs" would be roughly four months after release, when all the heroes have been played a while.

    +1
Exactly, there was nothing that stood out or wasn't able to be dealt with.

If it's tracking you, you might have dodged too late or maybe there was lag. They are possible to dodge or sidestep as this video proves

Or gap closer + dodge followed by Guardbreak and/or attack etc. and so on, the possibilities are endless dude. Change up your strat. Also if someone is spaming headbut I'm not sure why you are having problems dodging it. Also after playing long enough you stop looking at the little red indicator to predict attacks and start looking at character animations. The animations often tell you from where and what attack is coming before the red indicator does. So pay close attention and memorize animations, don't react to the red indicator. The Warlord needs to dodge or block before headbut. So watch for his dodge (which does not give an indicator) then you will know the headbut is coming. Also don't hit his block, guardbreak instead. Maybe combine your dodge with and attack to gain more distance and get some damage off.

And I think by saying "spaming headbut" and "highest level play" in the same post arguing for the same point is contradictory because at the highest level of play people do not spam any ability. So practice more on bots first, then you will be able to counter this spam.
well if you dodge the headbutt and do say a leap attack they will block even parry then you are punished again, which is yea part of the game but the headbutt is extremely fast it doesnt even show the dodge it goes right into the headbutt. honestly i wish the game was out so we could go into a custom match and i spam headbutt on you so you can just see. i dont know if you are aware about the tournament that happened yesterday but the two finalists were both warlorsd spamming headbutt they even said it was op but they wanted to win for the free copy the winner got. there were some really great players in this tourney none of which could be the warlord unless they were one themselves

yea p2p could have been a problem but my counter to that video, he knew it was coming and even then didnt dodge more than he didnt so what does that tell you in a real game
