Nobushi is not overpowered whatsoever. She has weak defense and barely any HP. My 3 strike heavy combo kills her. All you have to do is keep pressure on her. If you can't figure that out then you are a crappy player. Every combo on every character can alternate zones. For example: light attack left, like attack right, overhead heavy.

A combo like that on most NOBU players will keep they off balance and on the defensive.

She is no where near OP.

how can you possibly defend that the above combination of strengths is not imbalanced just because they have lower health (still similar to assasins without there defensive weaknesses) there needs to be a combat mechanic (not hp pool/hitting strength) balance as well

She strikes quickly from distance with deadly accuracy and applies a bleed/poison to her pray... She has to time her blocks perfectly to parry and can't sustain a guard just like all assasins (Hey look a weakness.) If she did not have the bleed mechanic and her passive she would have to hit you an exorbitant amount of times to kill you. Her light attacks do a miniscule amount of damage unless you are already bleeding.

This leads to the Nobushi needing to chain many attacks together by stringing her light attacks with bleeds and a grab/kick in order to sustain a good amount of damage and maintain the bleed. Her heavy attacks are extremely slow and difficult to land due to how easy they are to read.

Her weakness is closing the gap and disrupting her rhythm, guard break her and begin your assault after a dodge. Her attacks are easily dodgeable when you dodge horizontally... Especially if you're using another light character such as the Peacekeeper, Berserker, and Orochi. Although you can even dodge it with heavies like the Conqueror. Whatever way she is dodging is the direction her attack will come from when she applies that bleed. Her other bleed applying attacks both come from the top guard direction.

However you could all learn this yourselves by either spending some time dueling a Nobushi or playing one yourself to understand their mechanics better.

The best part of Nobushi is being able to kill all you cowardly runners out there by chasing you down and applying that bleed, then proceeding to emote as you watch them fall helplessly to the ground after a few steps.

If anyone should be complaining about the bleed mechanic you should be complaining about the Peacekeepers too and their guardbreak taking a quarter of your life.

But that's not the case, you're all just mad about having a DoT in this game in general because the character you chose to play doesn't have it so you find it necessary to deem it unfair.

    Git gud.
yessssssssss! i've gotten alot of angry messages that i spam attacks but her best defense is her offense; poking to keep her distance.

On the first day of the beta, I would have argued against this. But then after what felt like half of my one v ones were nobishi, I learned her tells and then wiped the floor with her. I mained a Conc during the beta and it seemed like I could always back her in a corner or against a wall, heavy attack, shield bash, repeat. I would do that until a) my stamina ran out and their health was 75% gone, or b) they dodge my attack, I block the direction they dodged, break them and throw them back against the wall where they belong until scenario a happens.

Well said friend. As soon as people get experience fighting her, she won't be as popular.

equally skilled players nobushi will win everytime (player playing nobushi 100% perfectly vs. any other class played 100% perfectly the nobushi will wipe the floor with them, you won't even get to hit her).
you need to be vastly worse than your enemy to lose as nobushi. in short the amount and perfect setup, positioning and counters you need to do as the nobushi to win is FAR less than the enemy of the nobushi would need to win.
mergin for error is far less vs. nobushi than playing as nobushi...

so the argument "if your just good enough" is idiotic and truly shows a complete lack of basic understanding of balance.

    I agree with you

    Exactly,
People who complain about characters being overpowered just expect their own same tactic to always work. While a nobushi cant always be countered by more fast attacks, just defense and find a weak point. I dont consider nobushi overpowered, they are easy to beat with a few blocksa and guard breaks. People dont understand that this game requires several tactics for different classes. My main is a warden and even i have beaten many nobushi

My main is a Kensei! I also played Conqueror and Orochi more than the Nobushi. Assasins are a very fun class to play my dude.

And your statement is much more logically sound? You just pulled random and fake statistical numbers that simply aren't true and are using it as a basis to launch an argument.

You make a big mistake against any highly skilled player and they will punish you big time, it's no different with any of the classes. You don't have to do anything else different with this class than when fighting other classes. You have to dodge, parry, guard break and counter to kill your opponent. The order and means you approach your attack and defense needs to be entirely different for every single person, not everyone plays the class the same way.

To say that an Peacekeeper lets say, fought an equally skilled Nobushi, and that Nobushi wouldn't get touched once in a duel which is up to 5 rounds. Is the idiotic statement my friend and shows your incompetence when it comes to this game and the Nobushi class.

Once again another case of a sad boi who was abused by the Nobushi.

    Practice more and....
