exactly, not without at least some strong balancing mechanism to her defence mechanics as the Assassins have, atm she gets all the advantages (and then some) with very few of the negatives, that is basically the definition of a unbalanced character
Where are y'all getting this crap? You realize she is not nearly as mobile as an assassin. She is great at disengaging and keeping range but both early as good at avoid and dodging as an assassin, and if you get in her face she is dead.Originally Posted by xxgregotaurusxx Go to original post

I'm out folks, have fun with your echo-chamber!
Now that the closed beta is over- I feel I can finally weigh in on this "This hero is OP" banter.
I will admit, when I first got into the beta, I played 3 games, shut it off and thought- I'm not going to be any good at this, i'm done.
After I realized what was going on- and that the warden's play style really didn't offer much to what I wanted I brought a .59 KDA to 8.5 by the time servers shut down.
The reason I wanted to quit, was because I was getting destroyed and the battle was being dominated by my opponent. And that sucked- nobody wants to play a game where you feel like you can't accomplish anything- and that's the sentiment against classes people aren't confident to approach in a duel or battle. This forces them to conclude that there is a problem with the class, and not their play- as they only lose against Nobushi, ergo Nobushi is broken.
The fact is your approach is broken. For Honor is brilliantly designed to allow your opponents to capitalize on your mistakes, making any error in judgment to be multiplied 10x over until you're red with rage and embarrassment. But thats the beauty of it.
The goal isn't whoever swings first wins- that tactic may work in shooters- but its killed by fire in For honor. When you go for that attack- you should be able to think to yourself "I am confident that I have fooled my opponent, and this will hit". If not- you're going to get steamrolled by someone.
If you have a problem in a duel, regardless of class- get out, gather yourself, get back on that bike and start parrying like your digital life depended on it- because it does. Ubisoft gives you the tools to be successful- if you choose to ignore half of them thats your choice- but don't blame your opponent or their class for realizing you fail to block, parry, or reverse guard break.
Always make the second move- because that's the reactive one, and the reactive one gets to choose the direction of the battle.
As the game mechanics is atm even heavy and slower classes can dodge away pretty fast so they can fill up the stamina ok assassins are better in dodging but after all they are assassins they must have good mobility.Originally Posted by tcs1991.ts Go to original post
Yes every class can dodge, but the point is NOBU is not the fastest. Nor the most agile. That is why is is called a, wait for it folks, hybrid class! Why people can't read between the lines and she that is beyond me.Originally Posted by irriducibili84 Go to original post
It probably seems like an echo-chamber because most of us actually know how to play the game and can easily counter her.Originally Posted by Veerdin-Wraith Go to original post
This. Once I got reputation 1, nobody I fought had any difficulty dealing with a Nobushi. It was fantastic, I learned a lot.Originally Posted by rcwd Go to original post
Pro Tip: If you get absolutely destroyed in a duel, ready up and go for a rematch immediately. And then again, and again, until that other person leaves. There's no quicker way to git gud than to play against people who are better than you, over and over again, until you get it.
You make an argument and contradict yourself in the next sentence.Originally Posted by irriducibili84 Go to original post
And the point you are trying not not trying to make (pun intended) is the following...
Fighting games balance is dependent on following the simple risk/reward ratio rule. To this regarding you're heavy slower classes will also have higher base HP and base damage. Comparing their dodge to an Assassin's dodge is ridiculous. And here you will find in fact an unbalanced mechanic in need of tweaking. Although assassins have lower HP they also have the most punishing chain attacks in terms of damage and the speed and stamina to harass further.
Imho their dodge should have a way higher timing requirement since atm it is all too easy to side dodge and chain start in the last frame of an incoming attack while the opponent is still recovering. This would be the case if a timed dodge was actually required emphasizing on block/parry/deflect or taking a risk to dodge if this tweak would to be implemented. As things are atm not blocking and going for dodges is way too rewarding and in certain match ups the assassin can even free himself of a light chain attack that connected the startup by simply dodging. It's dumb and broken. If hit by a start up attack he should be required to at least block to interrupt.
I would say stamina costs could also be raised a bit.
These two characters which people hate on jus coz they have bleed attacks don't really understand that it jus gives for example the peacekeeper the same high dmg that all the heavy characters have, a jump in with peacekeeper into three stabs of bleed took the same health as a raider hitting me with two heavy attacks so it's only fair
