Nobushi isn't overpowered. You're just bad.

The Nobushi plays exactly as intended to, she's a glass cannon... Her move list is comprised of strikes named after various deadly snakes and thats exactly how she plays, like a snake. She strikes quickly from distance with deadly accuracy and applies a bleed/poison to her pray... She has to time her blocks perfectly to parry and can't sustain a guard just like all assasins (Hey look a weakness.) If she did not have the bleed mechanic and her passive she would have to hit you an exorbitant amount of times to kill you. Her light attacks do a miniscule amount of damage unless you are already bleeding.

This leads to the Nobushi needing to chain many attacks together by stringing her light attacks with bleeds and a grab/kick in order to sustain a good amount of damage and maintain the bleed. Her heavy attacks are extremely slow and difficult to land due to how easy they are to read.

Her weakness is closing the gap and disrupting her rhythm, guard break her and begin your assault after a dodge. Her attacks are easily dodgeable when you dodge horizontally... Especially if you're using another light character such as the Peacekeeper, Berserker, and Orochi. Although you can even dodge it with heavies like the Conqueror. Whatever way she is dodging is the direction her attack will come from when she applies that bleed. Her other bleed applying attacks both come from the top guard direction.

However you could all learn this yourselves by either spending some time dueling a Nobushi or playing one yourself to understand their mechanics better.

The best part of Nobushi is being able to kill all you cowardly runners out there by chasing you down and applying that bleed, then proceeding to emote as you watch them fall helplessly to the ground after a few steps.

If anyone should be complaining about the bleed mechanic you should be complaining about the Peacekeepers too and their guardbreak taking a quarter of your life.

But that's not the case, you're all just mad about having a DoT in this game in general because the character you chose to play doesn't have it so you find it necessary to deem it unfair.

    Git gud.

I would agree here, I honestly enjoyed fighting a Nobushi because I could wipe the floor with them 90% of the time (I mained a Warden) and only encountered troubled when an experienced player was my opponent. Well said sir.

Reminder to all who play, from the valiant efforts of Dark Souls.

    +1 this so much.

The game only feels "unbalanced" when you don't understand what's going on, you're bad, or are new. At higher levels of play, it's pretty balanced. I forsee maybe only slight nudges of balancing.

I played the Nobushi till about level 6 during this beta and learned her move set. Once you understand the tactics of your opponent only then will you know what you need to do to defeat them.

Nobushi is quick and punishes people bad at defense and button mashers. If you can't block/dodge/parry a Nobushi will destroy you.

Exactly when you lose it's because you've been outclassed or made mistakes, stop blaming the classes people. Ubisoft did a phenomenal job of balancing the classes in this game... I'm thoroughly impressed.

When dueling someone around your skill level it's generally a close, calculated, drawn out fight and it's extremely fun/nerve racking and that my friend is when and where this game truly shines.

I still have the most trouble with Peacekeepers, but that's also because I've spent the least amount of time dueling them and have yet to play one myself. I feel as though guard break is one of the easiest attacks to hit in the game, so that guard break to bleed combo is really difficult to fight against. Then you have to worry about attempting to parry those lightning fast Peacekeeper attacks while trying to guess when they will guard break. For players who are good at mixing up their guard breaks with combos the Peacekeeper is extremely deadly... But she's an assassin, she should be quick and lethal.

Having played everything, you're honestly delusioned if you think the Nobushi, Peacekeeper and Orichi are balanced.

They agility they possess is insane, and I'm all for those characters retaining that agility, if they take a substantial hit to their health.

As it stands, they have the capability to attack at will, make mistakes, and still have a large enough health pool to continue fighting.

Try playing against all three of those characters in a 1v1 with a Warlord or Beserker. You will lose, guarenteed.

As I said, practically everyone defending these characters are delusional, or if they aren't, they're simply trying to protect their carry hero.

I don't expect balancing to ever come to those classes, especially the Samurai ones, they seem to be Ubisoft's favoured so far.

Having played all three factions in Beta, if nothing changes, I will be going Samurai on open beta/release. They are simply easy mode, and for 1v1's, Orichi and Nobu are the only way to go.

If it doesn't change, this game will die off rather quickly.

I am completely fine with the Nobushi as is. It is a beast of a class that adds some great gameplay to the game. I 5/9 times will lose in a fight with a Nobushi when I fight with my Warlord. The shear reach is amazing, they can hit you while staying just out of range enough so you can't hit them without getting creative. I think having soft (there are no hard) counters in this game is important, and the Nobushi is certainly one for the Warlord. I have to get creative, use the environment and switch up the play style. A warlord has an almost impossible time using his counter-riposte attack on a Nobushi due to the distance the attack is coming from. This made me pick up other classes as well to try to combat this issue. The berserker seemed to be the fit, as the wide arcing attacks coupled with dodges allow you to get around the tunneling pokes of the Nobushi. So if you are crying about not being able to beat the Nobushi.... change up your fighting style, get creative with your environment, or run a berserker. No sense nerfing a perfectly good class because you are upset you cannot counter-riposte a spear.

To note: I have not actually played AS the Nobushi, but I have fought them as much as I have fought the Orochi - which is a lot. And also, while we are on the subject: I have had absolutely no problem counter breaking a guard break in the game. It kinda requires skill to see it coming or just expecting it by knowing your opponent, which is something I think we need in the gaming industry as a whole.
