This is in specific things, Conquerors are better at defending points than etc etc.
On top of that, I can't say either, that you can't overcome these disadvantages with a degree of skill.
Nobushi has range advantage to other classes, especially short-range PK, and yet PK with skill will still destroy unskilled Nobu with ease.

The problem for most people (and it is the case with all games) is that people misunderstand balance to mean equal. These characters are not equal; there are situations, opponents, and gamemodes when a class will have an advantage and others when they have a disadvantage. It's actually quite nicely balanced and I hope it stays that way.
Agreed. Do not dumb down game. You will lose your player-base.

You are redeeming yourself. The playerbase will stay for the intricate combat, balance and tactics of the game. The whining kids won't stay long, and they don't have money anyway so no point catering to them.

Please don't dumb down the game. I played all day every day of this beta except 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night. Everything seemed pretty well balanced. Sure I got killed alot and like everyone else called bs but you just got to learn from it and do better. I built up my revenge stats and after a while. I was able to fight 4 people in dominion. And have killed those four by myself. I absolutely love the Raider. But that ain't saying that other classes ain't good, cause I got killed alot lol. I love it and it should stay where it is at. If people ain't going to learn from their battles and think about ways they might be able to defeat other players. Then they should not be playing this game. Leave this game alone and the truly skilled players can battle it out in epic battles.
That's actually not what it means to be balanced in the case of this game. Balance is struck between classes, situations, and game modes; there's a good chance if you enter a fight with a class not designed for the situation against one that is you will lose much more often. EDIT: Practice and learning the various classes will give individual players an edge in most encounters, but the game itself is holding a solid "Rock Paper Scissors" balance.Originally Posted by icejuicey Go to original post

OP you mean people asking for your crutches like revenge mode and dots to be nerfed or removed...
Revenge mode is not skill...
Putting a dot on a person and running away is not skill..
Running away the moment your health drops below 50% like a chicken with its head cut off is not skill...
I think your confusing people asking for bad player crutch's to be nerfed or removed as dumbing down vs actually having it skill based.
As far as guard break timing and such.. with this game being p2p and dealing with internet lag tweaking such things is a must.. and has nothing to do with dumbing down. just wait till you start dealing with lag switchers.. something I noticed already happening in game.. as soon as you start to win the host starts screwing with their connection making you get resyncing with host messages only when you start to beat them...
If you think this game is balanced right out of the gate.. well there is no way to fix your naivete
