No idea.. lol I have been owning people before and they rage quit and for some reason they are replaced by AI which is a dumb idea. If someone rages then I should get the win, no?
No, but the hosts connection will. Prepare for lag switchingOriginally Posted by Janxie Go to original post
Im getting it but going to wait and see about the season pass, its still not clear what the season pass actually gets you.
I am curious how the gear is actually going to work though, If theres a gear score most likely gear will make a difference but people will be matched up with others of similar gear score.
Im curious in the final product what a match up between somebody with the top gear in the game vs somebody with no gear at all would be (at same skill level)
I know this game is special to its devs, and I'm going to have faith they will add some polish to this before release. As is, I loved it. Obviously people are worried about servers, and I've seen this come up over many games in my time, often times without fans getting their request. I'm sure it must mean a big investment otherwise we'd see it more often, but it would help with this games reputation a great deal. A ranking system will hopefully come, and that could solve the issue of people rage quitting. Overwatch will punish you for that in ranking, and For Honor should certainly follow that model.
All in all, I only got one nice long day with it, but I'm still thinking about it and writing about it, so it obviously won me over and I want more. This game is very original, while still feeling a void fans of games like Chivalry, Dark Souls, Mount & Blade, etc have wanted in a game but never had presented in this kind of fresh format with an original control layout. I hope if you want to see game publishers take chances on games like this more often, you gotta support it if you can, and show them there is a market for games exactly like this. It may not be perfect, it may never be, but with a community behind and devs who care, this could really turn into a beast of a game now, and into its future iterations.
I can understand if you're broke or on a tight budget, but if you buy games on the regular, it's kind of a no brainer to me.
I have already refunded my gold pack due to bad customer service. Now i am glad i did as well due to the peer to peer hosting i mean really how cheap do you have to be to not get servers. Hell i know plenty of people will rent servers to. This is not a question here. The crap saying no one will have an advantage due to peer to peer is garbage and they know it. Tell me how the light classes where teleporting around? tell me how i was getting input lag and getting owned because of it? you can't ubisoft? I can it's the peer to peer it's also the reason why so many of us are complaining about games being dropped. Get servers and i'll rebuy if not i'll wait for mordau as i am sure it will be done right WITH SERVERS.
I'm buying the base copy of the game, but p2p as the only option, especially for any competitive play.... that is a sad time. I likely would have bought the gold edition otherwise.
actually I wanted to buy this game but since Ghost Recon beta is coming this weekend, I would wait to play & test that too; because I enough money just for one of this too so I should pick wisely but I think Ghost will be a better choice. what do you think?
I would like to buy the game, but for the moment i will not. And i recommend the same for you, I want to see first how the game works after the release.
The most important thing is the p2p, the worst of the game so far, I still hope they use dedicated servers which is what the game need. 60 € is a lot, and the game have lack of content, the faction war isnt a thing when it should... After some time of the release i will decide if buy or not, but actually the question is no.
Game is amazing, exactly what me and my group of friends have been hoping for. But Connection issues for more than 2 players are breaking the universe of For Honor. This P2P is ****. Knowing that you missed a parry/block/counter because you screwed up the timing is fine, something to improve yourself on. But knowing that it is because of the connection of other players which causes latency to be different for every match, just ruins all the mechanics and fun.
Buy. No doubt.
I was hesitant at first. Had problems with the fight dynamics. Then i found The Nobushi. For some reason she got me into the game in a major way. I just got the fight controls with her, got into a flow.
