An icon to show overall player level would be greatly appreciated. Knowing whether or not a player on your team or the opposing team has more skill than a standard level 1 character is important information. While seeing someone is a low level on a particular character, knowing how the game works by putting time into it is more much more important to know than just to see how skilled someone is with a particular character. I mained the Orochi during the beta, to which I got to Rep 1 Level 7 with a 41 item level. That being said, I knew how to best counter certain classes and how to best approach a level. However, my teammates, nor the opposing team members, would expect that from me if I were playing my level 6 Kensei.
I think having an overall level would be welcomed knowledge to the player base, as it seems more important than a standard character level, anyway.
