The graphic is superb, gameplay is fun. But leveling up system will kill the longevity of the game itself. Why? at current stage, it will create unfair advantage to new players that just buy the game.
Suggestion:
Copy gameplay level up mechanic of DOTA, LOL, SMITE where everybody start somewhat EQUALLY strong. And gradually getting stronger when killing more players or finding hidden magic items in the game map (randomly hidden placed in the map and keep changing location in each battle round, just like PAYDAY 2 ).
Copy business model of DOTA or LOL, SMITE, and or the success path of Ubisoft's Rainbow 6 Siege, where grinding is ONLY for new characters and all other cosmetics, but NOT for level up the power speed etc.
If it's possible, Make it FREE to Play and start making money from micro transaction the way DOTA LOL SMITE does, and held a world wide tournament with at least $1,000,000.- prize.
OR Make it Free to Play but ONLY limited number of characters that can be used for try out. And characters rotations so that new player can get a taste and invest some money on their ONLY favorite character. Or maybe sell it at 15$ as starter edition, OR full price for 100 different characters with their special weapons or even wood folding fan or magic wand and ability you can play.
or maybe customer custom character creation with custom weapons and combination of all skills ability combination just like those in Dragon Ball Xenoverse. But this one for Honor customization is for custom helmet, armor, weapon, magics, ability etc.
I believe, if Ubisoft do not do this suggestion, the game price will drop fast JUST within 6 months.
learn from how successful Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 growth in marketshare slowly and people keep talking good things about it more and more.
Last but not least.... Building Destruction and random Weather Changes that change the way it plays and give extra challenge to the winning team to even out the gameplay is a MUST!!!
note:
For Honor game developer should play those games I mentioned above and combined all of them so it becomes the native feature of the For Honor
You put way too much value into the level system. Past level 20 the only things you unlock are more/better gear and customization options.
A lot of the game modes won't be factoring in items, so the only thing the level system is good for beyond 20 in these game modes will be customization.
Many others, including myself, dont want it to be anything like DOTA, LOL or SMITE. This is none of those games and doesnt even deserve to been mentioned alongside them.Originally Posted by FuelSEAL Go to original post
If it even resembled one of those boring games I definatley wouldnt be purchasing it.
I agree though with the levelling thing, but as with alot of games now, those that have played a long time have the advantage.
What it needs is matchmaking on levels. 10 and under, 20 and under then all others.
Players get queued based on highest level or (as it seems) skill level anyway, so unless a newby is especially good he wont be facing much better players anyway. Besides, I am able to beat others on rep1+ characters with unleveled ones so id assume that skill weights much more than items/feats do (and as mentioned by others aleady they wont count in certain modes).Originally Posted by FuelSEAL Go to original post
Personally I like the gameplay how it is and i doubt they will do such big overhauls like what you mentioned

It is a beta.Originally Posted by T0NKA47 Go to original post
Some people who have received more content outside the beta have posted reviews (*more content outside the beta at release). Judging a beta for full purchase value is silly, aside from the fact that some people I know have stated "I would but the beta right now!" Just in case the crazy amount of current assets and mechanics is not enough for you, more content will be included in dlc.
If you are going to post negative comments, at least recommend a solution. i.e. I think "blank" content would warrant a $60 price. Negativity only begets negativity.
I don't think you understand that you were only playing the closed beta, not an early access. You weren't playing the full game, only a few parts of it. There's still at least a whole campaign mode, and I'm not sure how this would effect your opinion, but there's supposed to be a local split screen multiplayer as well.Originally Posted by T0NKA47 Go to original post
