What I want to know is....where is your TM at teh start of a fight then? What are they doing? Sleeping?
It is absurd to tell people not to gang up in 2v2 or 4v4. If you want a duel the game has a mode for exactly that 1v1. If your attention span is too short to fight the same opponent in a best of 5 that's no ones problem other than you.
I'll be honest, I'm glad to see so many people defending 2v2 as an actual 2v2 and not a 1v1 Endurance Tournament.
I'd love to see the game implement a 1v1 Endurance Tournament mode, where you and up to 3 buddies can pair up against another 4 and see which team is overall better, but:
2v2 means 2v2, two people fighting two other people at the same time. It does not mean anything else unless you get the other players to agree to it beforehand.
2v2 is a group fight mode. If you're getting "ganked", either your teammate needs to get in there and peel or he needs to lock up an enemy. Just like in 4v4, 2v2 has tactics that need to be utilized; don't expect to come in with double Assassin classes and win* if the enemy knows how to work together; pick classes with good synergy.
*Note: Obviously two Assassins can win in a 2v2 matchup if they know how to work together, but people expecting 1v1's probably haven't learned how to do that.
I find it rather funny to see ppl asking for "1v1 only in 2v2" or saying pushing someone of a ledge is BM and "no skill". If in a 1v2, try to force a 1v1 by using narrow passages. In a 1v2 I pushed both opponents down a ledge. BM, huh?
I guess anyone asking for this kind of stuff just plays 2v2 for the chance that their partner will save their win, or wanting to brag about beating 2 ppl in a row. Thats nothing to brag about. You're robbing yourself of the experience to win a REAL 1v2, which is quiete doable, actually.
Try the advanced training to learn how to block ppl you're not locked on to and switch targets more often. Use Vengeance right and keep an eye on life bars. After you knock them to the ground with vengeance, go for the one with less life. Use your zone attacks.
If you want a fair 1on1, play Duel and learn how to not get pushed off ledges.
this needs to stop 2v2 isnt 1v1 they even have different names 1v1 DUEL and 2v2 BRAWL. Saying that ya if im in the mood ill let the other two duke it out and take on the winner if my teammate dies, but just as often ill join in its a brawl why not. Also i like to do some dirty things too like pretending im gona watch then when they least expect it BAM mean i know but gives me a chuckle.
Play 1v1 if you want to duel. Personally I don't gank in 2v2 but that is kind of the point of the game mode. I'm certainly not salty when the enemy does it (but I will do it to them next time)Originally Posted by Gen.Wolf Go to original post
"Ganking" is ganging up.It is what it is.Don't deny it.
Now,I respect the other opponent to have an honorable fight but if they show no respect or gang me.I will do whatever(throw off ledges & throw you into each other) to dispatch both of you & when the next round appears you will ganged up on at the very beginning.Honor deserves respect but if you show no honor or respect.I will not hesitate to do the same.
Or, or and I want you to keep with me here, go do duels. While brawls do often devolve into duels they are scarily effective if two people work together. Had a duo who wouldn't leave each others sides as a warlord and nobushi, scariest team I've ever seen because they were constantly target switching and making me and the other guy play around that.Originally Posted by Gen.Wolf Go to original post
Basically you and everyone else asking for duels in other modes are not what you'd call the sharpest tools in the shed. You're literally missing the point of the other game modes.
You mean when people use the mechanics of the game and work with their partner?Originally Posted by icejuicey Go to original post
"Ganking" is not ganging up on, it's when a group of players (or a substantially higher level player) jumps a solo or small group, generally in an open world setting. These game modes are numerically even so "ganking" doesn't really apply. The situations in this game are players either failing their team and going off on their own or having their team fail them and leaving them to die alone. The opposing team should not be considered cheap or underhanded for playing as a team and playing to win in such a manner. If you get a player who wants to play gentlemen's rules and let you kill his friend before he kills you, lucky you, and unfortunate for his friend, but that doesn't make anybody more or less honorable unless those rules are discussed pre game.Originally Posted by Auztinito Go to original post
If that's the case why do they separate the players into a duel-like scenario? If it's just an average team mode then wouldn't they just put your team & the other team in front of each other & let you have at it,then? It separated us into duels because it's honorable to fight fairly.Hell, people in real life fought/fight & died/die for it.Duels & Brawls are like they are because the game is literally called "For Honor".Also,if it's just a 2v2 battle:where is the soldiers?I don't see any like in Dominion. You are dishonorable fighter if you gang up & by the way you typed "gentlemen's rules" your not really an honorable person anyway. So If you don't like being called dishonorable either change your ways or get over it.It's just a word.It only has meaning if you let it.Originally Posted by Mathonn Go to original post
