Can we have a function where it disables ppl from interfering in a 1v1? There is a big portion of the community that plays 1v1 and 2v2 because the other modes are nothing but a huge ganging-fest.
* Yes that was a bit of a rant, but be constructive on the general idea/concept of what I am saying. If you aren't going to post something constructive on the topic with replies such as "go to 1v1, there's a 1v1 for that,to bad deal with it" ect ect. Then don't post. I just see anything like that as troll posts and ignore it. This is a feedback and general discussion forum/thread for the beta. Not "game play support" for what game mode I should be playing.*
Why? That is the added pressure of a 2v2, to win before the other person wins their fight and joins their teammate. Otherwise, it would just be a glorified 1v1. If you want a 1v1, do that. 2v2 switches it up a bit, and there is a chance of being teamed up on, like you wouldn't have in a 1v1 fight.
2v2 Brawl is exactly that. Dispatch your enemy first our be outnumbered. The "honor" is that of the faction for whom you fight.

WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP ASKING FOR 1v1s in 2v2
There is allready a mode for this!
Just play 1v1 its not hard people!
There has been plenty of matches, 2v2, where both sides split off to 1v1 each other. Who after wins one, goes to where the other 2 are 1v1'ing and wait till its over. If the enemy is not killed, they engage. Its essentially having 2 1v1's in a round if one of each side falls. The next round, they switch opponents.
I find this far more enjoyable then any of the other game modes. You get to test skill 1v1, but against more then one person in a single round. Instead of having to 1v1, guy leaves, search for a new match every time. Of course some 1v1' lobbies last longer, but not quiet as fun fighting the same person over and over again, the 2v2 is a nice mix-up. Even if you have to search for a new lobby, that's 2 new players to 1v1.
Because there is obviously something there for 1v1's in 2v2 mode. As said, Its not a gank-fest like the other modes. There is a good portion of the community that likes it this way and want to see it expanded on. We're here for constructive feedback, not telling ppl to go somewhere else. Its not the help section.Originally Posted by Avlaen Go to original post
Fighting for a faction isn't all the honor. Testing your skill and fighting someone of equal or greater is more honorable to me. There's no real reward to fight for your faction, do it doesn't feel like an honor to.Originally Posted by Mathonn Go to original post
Are you familiar with the definition of the word "Brawl"? Allow me:
noun
1.
a noisy quarrel, squabble, or fight.
2.
a bubbling or roaring noise; a clamor.
theres also plenty of people who actually want a 2v2 fight. if you want 1v1s GO TO THE 1v1 GAME MODEOriginally Posted by Gen.Wolf Go to original post
Too many people are lost in the notion that the 2v2 and 4v4 are supposed to be a bunch of 1v1 duels and attempt to support the idea with a relatively narrow definition of honor.
As I said elsewhere, it's fine to enter a lobby and agree with a group to play by dueling rules, but those rules are not inherent to the game modes. The modes are designed for team play, victory, and bringing honor to your faction. The number of people criticizing players for playing them within the rules and trying to taunt them into playing under the imagined rules is a little ridiculous.
I'm not opposed to them making a round robin mode that Uses that structure, but it is not what the Brawl and dominion modes are in current form.
Being out numbered on the battlefield is not being "ganked"; you entered the field with even numbers and have either made the mistake of separating from your team, or were unlucky enough to lose your partner/team.
The mistake is viewing it as 8 or 4 individuals out for themselves, each team is representative of the singular faction. You dishonor your team if you enter the fray with personal interest ahead of the team.
Everyone seems to go into this game with the wrong philosophy. Preconceived codes or morals that not everyone will share, and indignance follows when oblivious players go against their code that is in their head. Be prepared for anything. That is the only philosophy you should have in mind. There are no rules other than the constraints you are bound to by the game itself. Some fight honourably, some don't. That's life..
And I can't deny it
Many times I thought of cuttin' out but my heart won't buy it
But if there's nothing shakin' come here this July
I'm gonna roll myself up in a big ball and die
