It's completely stupid.

After a round ends, rarely does everyone stay. I was in a 2v2 queue, my friend was in my party, but the other two left. So we waited for timer and it just kicks us instead of matching us with new people.

The matchmaking should find new opponents every round. As it is now, there's no point in sticking around after match because it's just a waste of time. The game doesn't auto-fill slots and waste a minute or so of your time and then kicks you to the main map.

This, on top of the fact that quitting to map with a party is broken right now makes partying extremely annoying.

I agree. It very rare that players stick around for a second or third match. And since the game doesn't replace them well enough it leads to mass quitting.
