    Character diversity?

I've played 30 duel matches in a row and counted characters that were against me. That's what I got:
    10 - orochi
    11 - peacekeeper
    3 - nobushi
    3 - berserker
    2 - warden
    1 - kensei

3 characters are completely missing and 2 characters are dominating. So is this my luck that I'm fighting against them so much or this is normal?

I found that the same characters appear quite frequently. It's frustrating, I prefer the Warden and the Warden is so outmatched by the quicker classes. But for players it's all about he win, so they pick the character that they can win with. But man when you get that one fight that you are evenly matched with someone with it's intense and exciting, sadly that match is few and far between.

I must say that the Orochi, followed by the Peacekeeper were by far the most popular enemies I met. I also played a lot with the Warden and Kensei and managed to do pretty well, only the Nobushi really gave me problems

That makes sense. Because some characters are more viable in 1V1 situations, and less viable in 4v4 situations. If you think about this game like 'League of Legends' or 'Overwatch', it suddenly makes more sense. You wouldn't bring someone like 'Mercy' to a 1v1 duel with Solider 76 right? Of course the comparison is a little bit off, but in a situation where Raider is going against someone like Orochi. The Orochi is just so much more viable because of his/her speed to dodge out of those attacks. This is what we called a bad match up.

I personally did not see that many Nobushis and Peacekeepers in Dominon because they're less viable when they're being jumped on by 4 other people. It makes sense that Assassins dominates the 1v1 duels because that's where they're naturally the strongest. Now I do agree that there isn't character diversity in duels, but that's just the nature of the game. Techinically speaking, a skilled player who mastered a certain class, should have reasonable chance of beating someone even in a bad match up. But keep in mind, not everyone is as dedicated, and it's only natural that people will float towards a certain class in 1v1 situations.
