Revenge Mode needs to be reworked or removed from the game

It's too overpowered. Only counter to this is to run away while duration ends. That is not viable counter. This concept does not make any sense at all. How can you reward a player that is getting hit multiple times with different players a huge buff. There needs to be a cool down on it. A player should not be able proc that mode multiples times under 30 seconds. Right now all you need to do is get hit multiple times or block multiple attacks to use this "signature move" You can keep stacking it until you die. If i am fighting against a player in 1v1, my teammate comes over to help me. Hits that player and puts that player in revenge mode. 98% chance that player kills me and does significant damage to my teammate. Then that player can enter that revenge mode again if another teammate comes in and trys to take him out. The solution to this problem is to put that revenge mode in 30 second cool down after being use or make it where a player that is getting killed 5 times in a row by the same person can use it to end that person kill streak.

I completely agree, revenge mode has to go or be nerfed to the ground. The fact that in most scenario's it is bad for you that a friend comes to help you in a fight says enough. every time i am having a 1v1 and a friendly comes in, the enemy gets revenge in an instant and gets a free pass. This beats the whole purpose of team play and is an unbalanced way to balance out a 2v1. I'm sorry, but if you get outnumberd and don't have the skill to deal with it or the environment to juke around, then yes you should die. It is normal to lose in a 2v1. Becoming an orange glowing god is no the answer to this.
In my eye's it would be best if revenge mode would be completely removed from the game (especially from 2v2 or 1v1 battles). If that is not possible i feel it should be nerfed to a once per match use only.
At this point building your character around revenge is a very viable playstyle. All you have to do is block 3 hits and you become a god that can kill anyone. How is this fair? How is this fun? I really enjoy the game, but as soon i come across a person with a revenge build gear, the fun is over and it is more a of a frustration to play the game than fun because someone with far less skill than me will defeat me easily and kill my team.
And don't worry, it gets worse. The higher level you become, the higher level enemies you will face. You would expect more skillful and more awesome fights right? wrong... The only difference is that people now have higher level gear and build revenge even faster.
Don't get me wrong, i love this game and i think it is amazing. But the biggest game mode, the 4v4, which i think most people do enjoy alot... becomes pure frustration to play. Team play is punished instead of rewarded because of the stupid revenge build up.
Please do something about this, it is ruining the game for me and all of my friends.

It doesn't matter if i am good or not. This mechanic is broken. This mechanic defeats the whole purpose of team play. The fact that a player can spam it multiple times under 30 seconds. In the other games, there are cool downs for skills. Cool downs brings balance to game. There are cooldown for feats. Why not revenge mode? I'm not whining. I am giving constructive feedback. This is a beta for a reason. There are range of players in this community that want this game to be a good. Why don't you be productive and give constructive feedback instead of telling people to "git gud" Your remark does not do anything to make this game better.

Ignore TyrrelDuckard - he spends all of his time here crying "git gud" if anyone dares to criticize revenge mode.

The mechanic is trash, it's ruining the game, and it needs to go. Period.

This game mode it really a good balance in the game. If you can't beat it then you suck. It shouldn't be removed because you can't beat it

i have been able to defeat just about anyone in a 1v1 fight. So "Git Gut" doesnt aply here i think. The only problem here is that i more often lose a 2v1 (when i get an ally) than i lose 1v1. That is why revenge is a problem in this game. It has nothing to do with being good. people in revenge are killable for sure. It is just that the game actively punishes you for teamplay

    Agreed

I'm really loving the game besides this mechanic. It is too powerful and ruining team fights. Working together should be rewarded, not punished.

It really isn't a problem. Your experience is anecdotal as is my own. It doesn't punish you unless you let it, truly.

Let's be clear about my tone moving forward. I am not in any way remarking on your ability as a player. I have not played against you so I cannot say if you are not understanding the mechanic and how to counter it or maybe something else entirely. I am giving you a run of the mill scenario on why Revenge is necessary and at this point the only tweak might be that you shouldn't be able to modify the duration, attack, defense, etc. (because you can if you haven't noticed, it is a viable build). So, let's move on to the point...

I win plenty of 2v'1's when they pop their revenge. I also lose plenty of 2v1's when I pop my revenge. Know what happens when I lose those fights? Those players stop button mashing and flank me. They start offsetting their attacks so that one is attacking in a different direction than the other. Can't block both at the same time (certain defense abilities excluded. You as the attacker also have unblockable attacks. Everything has a counter) Flank, block, kill. Revenge is a fairly necessary feature to deal with 2, 3, or 4v1's. The variety of character speeds would prevent you from ever attacking them back and working towards evening the odds even as a skilled player. In a game, if four people are attacking you from the same direction, well they really are not playing well. They should surround you. So, you can't attack back. Realistic, yes, but fun? No. Not in the least. How long would you play this game if me and my 2 or 3 friends decide to always stay together and focus fire one person (you) in every engagement? You would rage quit every round and stop playing the game entirely shortly after because you wouldn't have fun.

I win fights against revenge mode too, that's not the point. The way it is now is it is a disadvantage in many cases for your teammate to help in a fight. It defeats the purpose of playing as a team in many situations and the auto parry at the beginning is completely unnecessary.

indeed, the problem isn't that some one is unbeatable, but i rather have someone not help me in a fight than a friend stepping in, because of revenge. I have had many cases where we still beat the enemy while was in revenge. But the still the point stands that i am hoping that my friends do not join me in a fight just because of revenge and how annoying it is. I feel that i shouldn't be hoping NOT to be helped in a team based game.
And i understand where revenge is comming from, to give a person a chance when he has the number disadvantage, but that is just tactics. Let me rephrase then, it doesn't necesarrily punish team play directly. But it punishes tactics you might do with your team. (punish as in discourage you to do it, not per se kill you instantly). And a mechanic in a game that has team play in it, that discourages me to work together with my team seems a bit of a let down.
