No Gear Stats in Duels = No Me

Sorry but if you take stat customization out of the only mode I enjoy because it is the only mode this clunky combat system can handle properly, then I don't see enough long-term motivation to play.

Not to be mean or anything, but I'm fairly sure all the posts of yours I've read are negative of the game. If you don't enjoy it, don't play it. Stats in Duel can heavily sway balance in a very competitive mode. On the other hand, custom matches are a thing, so you can turn them on, I think. That said, is there anything you do enjoy in this game?

so you want to be more powerfull than your opponent to give you a chance to win?
there's no gear stats in duels because if your playing a noob your going to have a massive advantage from the get go.
don't duel if you cant live with the idea of an even playing field.

Gear level has no place in a competitive game period. Nothing but your skill level should have an impact on the outcome of a 1v1, specially in a fighting game.

What they should do, is split queues between normal games where you can use gear, the 'one shot off cliff' tactic and why not your feats and revenge too? Lets make it fun for a fun game mode, but for players that want to get better and better in a more serious game mode (ranked games) against players with the same skill level of theirs nothing but light/heavy attacks, guard break and the defensive abilities (like block and parry for example) should be allowed.

That is just the opinion of someone that enjoys fair fights.

That's the point. I totally agree.
If this games will allow to a "pay to win" chance, I will leave.

This forum is there so people can share what they don't like and would like to see changed, and not for stuff they think is perfect and don't want to see changed. Why don't you get a clue about game betas and bootlicking?

    Absolutly.

I agree with all previous posters, gear should not be a thing in 1v1. Neither should revenge mode, btw.
I want my duels to be about raw skill.

You can still customize you character visually. The real motivation should be becoming better and climbing up the ranks.

I think there's potential for gear to be used in 1v1. As it is now it wouldn't be fair at levels below max, but what if they made everyone's GS the same by increasing the effect of low level gear and lowering that of high so that people always had the same total stats?

Personally I think that would add a lot to the game since gear would help determine your individual tactics, rather than ever PK playing almost exactly the same, for instance.
