So far, love the game (other than the whole color-blind thing which renders the fight system nearly useless to me.) I love the customization options and really appreciate the depth of it. However, here are a few things that bother me:
1. When I spend 500 gold on upgrades, thinking that at least 2 will be better than what I have, I kinda expect to get 2 better items than what I have. If I have a level 3 armor, with a lot of damage-block ability, then get a level 3 armor with faster running....THAT is not "better" than what I had.
2. There's a lot of the same items over and over again. Once I got 2 of the exact same item after a match.
3. Maybe, instead of already having attributes attached to these items, allow us to upgrade the attributes we want. There is not a lot of customization when it comes to the attributes, and I would like to have a little control over the items.
That is it for now. The game is still enjoyable without fixing these things, but it would be so much better with a better system of setting your own armor and weapons up the way you like them...
You're thinking about it wrong. Scavenge isn't how you upgrade, it's how you get more gear options. Upgrade (available by selecting the piece of gear in question while in the Customization Menu) is how you upgrade your stats on the piece of gear.Originally Posted by Psykottik Go to original post
Each piece of gear has 3 tiers, White, Blue, and Purple. What level you are decides what tier you get; I didn't find my first blue until Prestige 1, Level 10.
White gear starts at least at Level 1 can be upgraded to Level 6, blue gear starts at Level 7 and can be upgraded to Level 12, and purple gear starts at level 13 and can be upgraded to level 18.
Hope this helps!
It never claims the gear will be better than what you have, just that it will be higher quality gear. That is, not level 1 gear. And who's to say better defense is inherently superior to faster sprint speed? It depends on your playstyle. I don't care about defense stats, I'll parry or dodge, it's fine. I'll gladly equip sprint speed gear so I can chase people down when they try to run away.Originally Posted by Psykottik Go to original post
Faster running speed is actually really good for most assassin classes in Dominion mode. You can retreat easily when you're getting ganked. Also you can annoying your enemies by running around and capture points. Also higher quality means it can upgrade pass some level. Most average loot can't be upgrade pass level 7 but those high quality gears can.
Didn't know this, never tried upgrading that far. Good info.Originally Posted by l_Azure_l Go to original post
