    Why Nobushi is actually underpowered

I've seen a LOT of feedback from the community stressing how overpowered Nobushi is. I've she's been my main throughout the duration of the beta, I'd like to give my opinion on why she's not as strong as people think she is. At the start of the beta, I dominated everyone in 1v1 because folks didn't realize how to counter her, but now, going against more experienced players, I've found her unplayable during some rounds

    1. Agile characters like Berserker, Orochi, Kensei, etc. can just spam dodging left and right. This will make every attack that you throw completely miss, and they can just get close and spam R1. If you try to retaliate, all they have to do is dodge left or right, moving around you, deeming every attack a miss, and it's extremely frustrating. Those attacks should connect!

    2. Her shadow stance is COMPLETELY broken. I'm surprised that that's even a mechanic of the character, as it's completely unusable! It's glitchy, it never responds correctly, and it's unreliable, to the point where I've just given up using it.

So yeah, that's about it. To all of the folks saying that she's overpowered: Just dodge left and right as she hits. She will miss every stab.

Slow reaction time makes her OP.

For those who actual spent a little time understand mechanics, she is just like dealing with every other class.

I never thought I would see a post that's actually logical

my friend has been maining Nobushi in this current test and when I 1v1'd him all I had to do was walk close to him and just block the attacks and watch for her guard breaks, I don't get how people are crying OP.

I... What? Lets have a small run down of why that isn't actually a correct statement. If they dodge around your attack, you have kick to retaliate and you can just dodge back easily. Fast characters are the only ones that have a chance of getting in on a Nobushi if they are actually paying attention (I fight a lot of Nobushis and played them a fair bit). On the other hand, you have your basic R1 spam to apply bleed, changing directions and a guaranteed bleed stack on third hit making that pretty solid. You have a back move that applies bleed that gives you incredible escape power and range. You have your dash pokes that apply bleed. You get bonus damage ON BLEED. And in case the rest of it wasn't clear, you outrange everything short of Kensei, and you outrange him/her too by a little bit.

Shadow Stance actually is slightly bugged, as it requires a perfect down input and be held down. But hey, it gives you a dodge because that was needed *sarcasm*. Oh, and fun fact, you can get a near infinite string using kick and bleed pokes, as shown in numerous Nobushi videos.

So, here's my thought on Nobushi. Great concept, needs tweaking on attack speed. You can hit too frequently and apply bleed too frequently in too huge of stacks causing your bonus damage to be your normal damage. Compare that to every other hero who has a "bonus" damage and it becomes clear that the bonus applies in way to many situations in way too many differing ways. Oh, and no other bonus damage is on top of a stack of bleed. Just sayin'.

Totally agree. Nobushi is basically garbage in current state.

Totally agree. Nobushi is unuseable against assassins.

You make your point as someone who mains Nobushi, and I'll make my point as someone who mains Nobushi:

She is NOT underpowered. I actually feel she's just about right. I have my weapon modded with as much attack as possible and it still takes a lot of pokes to finally drop someone. The Nobushi also has a small amount of health. The fact that assassins wreck you is all part of a class-based game: they simply have the kits to counter yours. You have a kit to counter plenty of others. Nothing more, nothing less. Is fighting against a (good) Peacekeeper absolutely tough as hell as a Nobushi? Absolutely. That's exactly how it should be. Her attacks have small areas of side-hitbox and assassin characters have a very good side-step. It's simply rock-paper-scissors. As for her Hidden Stance, I pull it off all the time. Not sure what your problem is. It's one of the few things I can use to (sometimes) get hits in on Conqueror since they can bring their shield up just barely in time to block the retaliation stab. They just simply block everything else so I have to resort to countering since her actual guard break has incredibly short range (which defeats the entire point of her kit: staying back out of range).

Am I complaining and saying that Conquerors or Peacemakers are OP? Absolutely not. It's simply knowing what works and what doesn't work when fighting against a specific class. Sometimes that matchup just simply isn't in your favor.
