    Matchmaking has problems.

Matchmaking becomes a real problem when you level a character really high and want to try another character, and do not have gear. It also seems hit or miss. Sometimes my team complete owns and others we get dunked on. It seems really hit or miss to the point that I am not even sure that matchmaking is a thing?

Poor matchmaking is the by-product of a P2P matchmaking system. They've decided we're not worth dedicated servers. So they've turned a great game onto it's head because it's cheaper than running dedicated servers. They'll still charge you full price for the game though, don't worry.

I don't see how you think that matchmaking has anything to do with P2P.

When people want dedicated servers it means that they want to host them. Dedicated servers are free. I think you are missing the point with dedicated servers.

I think you are missing the point with dedicated servers. BF1 and various other games use dedicates servers...it eliminates lag for the most part. P2P relies on us the players connections. The games are 1 sided as the OP stated and it's because they are P2P.

If it can't find enough players in your level that it can connect to it'll automatically branch out, but it also depends on the hosts and your connection too. Some games it picks up but can't connect to, some players as well because it could be relying on a host with an unstable connection. Which can create an imbalance when you're matchmaking. Also, dedicated servers are not free? I don't know where you're getting that from? People want dedicated servers to have a balanced and stable connection in their region? It does mean that people can purchase and host other dedicated servers if the game developer allows it, but that's just another good reason. More stable servers in your region.

Why do you think a server hosted by Ubisoft in Denver would act differently than someone living in Denver hosting in terms of Matchmaking?
