Looking at your video, you seem to be trying to block (maybe even get off an attack) rather than dodging right or dodging back. The move doesn't cover that much space, and there should be enough time between attacks for you to recover and get off a dodge. If you dodge one or two, Warlord will be open for big damage and I guarantee they will think twice about trying it again. You can also drop your block stance and run back a few steps to create some space.

When you see people using this as a first attack, this is where character / matchup knowledge comes into play. If you're fighting Warlord or Conq, you'll need to remember that those attacks are available to them and you want to switch up your strategy. Play a little further away, play a bit more defensive, open them up with a guard break and take the offensive first. If nothing else, just sit wait and feel your opponent out. You'll always be able to tell within the first few attacks if your opponent will go crazy with a headbutt, or fight a much slower fight.

I think it's moronic that dashing in this game doesn't take Stamina, and because of this, all dash attacks are abused to hell.

From that video it looks like the Dash into Headbutt literally takes 0 Stamina. Who is programming this game?

the headbutt needs an increase to stamina cost. looking at the video he could just spam headbutt without worrying at all about his stamina which just encourages players like that player to keep spamming headbutt. its ridiculous.

The Warlord's headbutt is unblockable, so dodging or countering it with a light attack is probably the smartest way about it

It does catch you if you're dodging back, at least on non-assassins.

I also beleive that even if you were able to dodge it left or right you would not be able to punish it because of the slow conqueror light attack and the headbutt recovery frame being so short. But i have not yet tested this.

Not trying to be rude Fred and i appreciate all your hard work. But have you ever went against this as a conq before or other heavy classes? When facing a good warlord the ability is broken and if you watch that video you can see he stun locks him into oblivion and he cant do anything. the point is even if he was able to get out of that with dodging your gonna have to fight him against and when he does all he got to do is block one and spam again. Not to mention why can he spam it about 15 times and only lose 1/4 of his stamina bar. Also dodging doesn't seem to work because of this auto-targeting, Notice that in the video to were he dodges and just flys towards you even though you timed it right.

I main conquerer and ive been able to deal with headbut spamming warlords, dodge sideways and counter with your own shield bash, or keep up your infinite chain so he headbuts into your combo.

you should be able to counter this move the same way as a guard break. that is pressing the guard break button as he does the headbutt attack
