    Warlord Hero

Firstly my opinion on the Hero itself.

I have played just with the Warlord since the beta began on Thursday and would say i'm a decent player with him now after getting to Reputation level 1.

I've experimented with gear to create an attacking based and a defensive based Warlord. My opinion on these 2 are attacking can be quite hard hitting if you counter right but defensively seems pretty weak considering you have a shield. It also seems after swinging your sword 2 to 3 times, you completely run out of stamina where as other Heros carrying a heavy 2 handed sword can swing for days?

    In terms of what i'd like to see changed to the Warlord;

First in customization, I feel the emblem being placed on the chest and back gets extremely hidden even with the different chest pieces and feel your emblem should be able to be placed on the shield considering its the unique equipment for the Warlord.

Secondly, I don't see why the Warlord is restricted to only a sword. Why can't we choose to wield for example, an axe and shield?

Overall I like the style of the Warlord when attacking but not so much using him as a 'Tank' with a lot of defence, just doesn't feel like he can stand and take the brunt in simple terms. Maybe its me? Not sure.

Whats your opinions on the Warlord?

Viking - Warlord - Underpower Or Weak

My "main" is Warlord and this champ is (now) weak ... short range , too slow (for def ... no chance when a assassin hit u 5-6-7 times op combos ... no chance for def ) and the first hit (the low hit) is unusable...

The Warlord is a great characters ( i love it and i enyoj ) but his need so much BUFF... the skills is okey but i think need the warlord now (unfortunately , unfortunately ,unfortunately ,unfortunately aaaand unfortunately) very very very very weak ....

I dont see too much Warlord in this 3 days and i know why .... the Assassins too OP champs
... (its dont know maybe i play with him alone)

    Unfortunately

And sorry for my english , i never learn it , only from the games

Haha warlord is easily the most OP character in this game. Far too many powerful and effective defensive options considering how much damage he can do with many ways to counter for free damage followups. He is also the most tanky in the game with his passives. Even more so than conqueror. On top of this he also has a better gap closer than zerker which makes no sense. His unblockables are also almost undodgeable and give free damamge followups. Character definitely needs to be looked at and toned down.

Warlord is certainly the 2nd most op characters in the game he is nearly impossible to fight 1v1 2v1 and even 3v1 he blocks everything because all people do is spam perfect guard and when they do fight they either spam guard break or the head butt warlord is so cheap of a characters in the shape he is right now that 1 or 2 of them on a team can definitely carry

I play Warlod only in this beta. Already prestige 2 or whatever it is called. I have absolutly NO chance against peacekeeper. I defeat all other classes. Mostly. Orochi is sometimes a little hard to defeat.

    Warlord

Hey there, Warlord is super overpowered, when I think of a character with **** ton of gear, and shield and him being pretty heavy i would think that he will not have unlimited stamina, A lot of characters right now including Warlord have unlimited stamina they also have no stamina coast for their heavy blows and jumps which they can spam, rushes as well. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!

    Warlord headbutt is OP!

I was brawling with a friend of mine and on the other side was a warlord player. When 1v1ing him he headbutt me continuously without breaks in between. On top of this because the headbutt drains stamina i was unable to counter with anything else as i was too slow. He proceeded to push me into hazards afterwards and kill me that way. The headbutt needs to cost a lot of stamina or be nerfed in some other way.

The warlord actually has less stamina than mother other heroes. He runs out of it pretty fast. If you miss 1-2 heavy hits, then RIP your stamina and you just pray to survive.

Warlords running out of stamina quite fast is something that should be changed.

Have you even played the game by the way? That unlimited stamina is so wrong that I think you're trolling.

Warlord is one of the easiest characters to use in then beta. With hardly any effort you can do good with him I unlocked him and played with him just to get some cheese kills in brawl and duel.

Can we stop throwing the word OP around? Legit, as a community, it's overused. Every hero is being seen as OP or overly weak.

Warlord is very VERY well balanced when you take into account what the guy can do, and I am gonna try to give some tips that will hopefully help you out. Lets start with his lack of range. This is far less troublesome than you would think, once you start using parries and counters. A great combo against long range heroes is parry->shield bash follow up->light->heavy. Essentially what that's gonna do is get you in, open them up, and allow you to put your big damage to work.

Next lets talk about aggro. You aren't an aggressor. Your goal in fights is to let others go aggro on you and punish them for mistakes. You counter and do chains from there. No matter what direction the attack is coming from, you can counter with a light attack and follow up with a fairly quick follow up heavy in another direction. If that isn't to your liking, you can also use heavy attack armor to your advantage and trade hits like it's your job. Cause it is.

Now lets talk defensive heroes. Now note I didn't say heavies exclusively. Warden also goes on this list because a Warden can play very defensively, as can the Peacekeeper. To break their guard, headbutt. It sounds so simple, but it's the most commonly forgotten thing for early Warlords. You can also follow that up with a poking light that has decent reach considering your otherwise short reach. You can also truck defensive heroes into the wall using your guard break, and then follow up with whatever you like.

Now lets talk openers. This is actually where the Warlord really comes out to play. Every fight the Warlord has more options to engage than is really even needed. If you need big damage and a quick entry, you can do the Headsplitter Leap and combo from there. On the other hand, you can Crashing Charge to open the opponent up and put them on notice. If you don't want to run because, lets be honest, who does that in this game *cue laugh track*, you can open with either a light, a heavy, a Headsplitter, Leap, a Headbutt or... well, anything really. Once you lock on, your options become a giant list of things that can be a nightmare for an opponent to read.

Warlord is powerful, but balanced. He has tools for just about everything, but lacks speed, stamina control, and range to balance that out. Keep all that in mind when you play him and you will do well. Fundamentals change the game for him in huge ways.
