Oh my god... how inspiring! I'm going to put clouds behind this and put it on facebook. And how noble of you to quote yourself in your essay about xzamplez
That was honestly painful to read.
I want to start this by saying that I came into this thread with an intention to apologize for how my post came across after reading it. I didn't mean to question you as individuals, it was more a question of the system in place. Hopefully no one took that as an attack as it wasn't my intention. I hope you all had a good time, and some progress was made with the development of the next title.
But, now I have to respond to Blaze.
It wasn't a conclusion I came to, I didn't state it as fact. It was a concern. Besides you, I think I get along with every person in the Trials community 'that has talked with me' very well. So I don't know the "people" you refer to.
Again, a concern. I wasn't stating it as fact. Link took me to a description or something, not a quote.
You can have that opinion, but it's based on assumption. I've been in "community driven" events, and filled my role without incident. From being a judge to a moderator, I've successfully participated in such roles.
I come from a community formed by an interest in map design. As you can imagine, feedback is a crucial part to the process of creating a map. I preferred the cut-and-dry method of criticism towards my creations, even if it may have harsh words thrown into it. The way I give constructive criticism is a reflection of that. And I sometimes get worked up because I'm passionate about this game, like everyone else still playing.
Everything you feel about me is based mostly on your exchanges with me about five years ago on Evo. Take that into account. And I don't think that not liking things about Fusion makes me a bad person. You will probably refer to what happened between us on Twitch. You must've forgotten that I went out of my way to apologize. I was under the impression we were on okay terms. Seems I was wrong.
Sorry that you feel voicing a concern is "tainting the community." I will continue to express myself honestly as I always have.
It's not based on assumption Max, It's based on experience between me and you and general history here on the forums.
You can comment what you like about it JTrunn, Doesn't change it being a 100% accurate account.
I give people the choice and option to read it upfront before deciding to click on it and form their own opinions.
Don't forget Max I also come from that same community with opinions formed around map design. I know exactly the community you speak of and having a heavy history with said community myself between 2010 and 2012. I understand your angle of submitting your feedback and reviews but In my opinion the way you present your opinions, feedback and criticism here on the Trials forums has always been wrong and counter-intuitive to the health, and positivity within this community and the environment that new players walk into here on these forums. There is nothing wrong with you voicing your honest opinions. You can voice exactly the game points and opinions you want to without doing it in the way you have always done.
Everything I stated is not just based on the few times we talked over xbox live in late 2012, Trying to lessen that is not going to work.
You didn't go out of your way to apologise, You were adamant that it was the truth. And it paints a thousand pictures of your nature.
On The first page of this thread, you dislike the fact that you have been called a Toxic part of this community, Is that so wrong that others have said that?
I can't speak for their history but with ours would people consider the following toxic?
-Going out of your way in 2013 to try and get under my skin and refer to me as nothing but a Joke and a laughing stock during the qualification period of TWC, Is that Toxic?
-Spreading a rumour of me with streaming and the charity work Iv'e done with trials as fact last year in 2016, That I get paid for every Charity Trip Iv'e ever done and that I got paid to say I like Blood Dragon, When I simply enjoy it. Spreading this through multiple channels, Via XBL, Twitch Communities, Veteran Trials Skype Group, Everywhere, Is that Toxic?
-People who frequent your XBL party chats coming forward to me and telling me that you often say I have terrible values as a human, Is that Toxic?
You weren't just voicing a concern with your Initial post. You were covering the main body of your post with passing it off as only a concern.
When In truth it was littered with assumptions, negativity and false views manifested in your own mind.
Do you think it's fair on Psyhodelik and everyone else involved with this Initiative that you respond to the OP in that way.
Do you think it's fair that you jump to conclusions, and assumptions about the drive behind these workshops and the reasons Redlynx arranges them
Do you think it's fair that you question for those Involved the opinions they give as being honest or not honest.
Do you think it's fair that you question the Integrity of every individual participating in the workshop and think each one of us as "Caring more about relationships with RL" than the actual reason we were all there and participating in the workshops for the quality of future Instalments.
The answer to all the above is no.
If there's anyone who's French reading that watched Pysho's video, did he mention the karting breakage?
if not I'll give a quick summary of what happened...
So the way the karting worked was we were split into 2 teams, each session was about 10 minutes long and there was 3 sessions for each group in total.
The first session was a 'warmup' for people who needed to get used to the handling/speed etc.
The second session was the qualifier to see which group you'd be put in for the final session which would determine the overall winner.
The third was the final.
Just to the left of the start line/home stretch there was a bit of the wall that was sticking out as the control box was there.
So during the 2nd groups' qualifier about 2 minutes from the end of it. Someone was right to the left hand side of the home stretch, there was a second person just behind them but more in the middle of the lane. Person #1 thought "uh oh, I need to move right or I'll crash". Person #2 thought "oh no you don't, get back over to the left I want to be ahead of you!" and didn't budge. Of course Person #1 had to try and move to avoid crashing, so Person 2 smashed into Person 1 which then... Caused the corner of the wall to completely split open and basically make the track unsafe with bits of wood everywhere.
Here's an AMAZING high quality image that almost looks like a picture taken from above the track:
The employees at the karting place basically told us that it's going to take an hour or more to fix the wall so ... "goodbye" (basically told us to leave without having our finale!)
Sadly everyone was in such a shock that no one took a picture as far as I'm aware.
Hope everyone enjoyed the story
P.S. I didn't want to mention any names but I'm sure Psycad and Braders can give more insight on what happened close up
TLDR: Person B crashed into Person P which made Person P crash into the wall, splitting open the track.
"100% accurate account" and 'my opinion' are two different things. The latter is the correct phrase. You teeming hatred of me is shared by no one as far as I can tell. I'm not saying everyone here gets along with me, but what you're saying here is ridiculous. You really don't know me at all, Blaze.
And you have every right not to agree with my methods. I don't agree with yours either. The difference is I don't hold that against you, personally.
Few times? We were in parties every day with stride and dome knocka. Either you forget or you choose not to remember. But, yes. That's where most of it is.
Sorry I didn't add you or any of the other people sending me friend requests, simply because I was good at the game. I wanted people on my list that I connect with, not just for them to go against my ghost. There was only 100 spots on 360. Between forge, gears, and trials, I didn't have room for those extra people.
But I have helped people. And I still do. Like when I helped you with your stick movements. You probably choose to forget that, too.
I did apologize. You must have forgot. I joined your stream and said I didn't want that kind of tension between us. You agreed, and I left.
I honestly don't remember doing that. I could see myself saying you wouldn't make it, because if it was the actual top 8 players, you wouldn't have been able to. Do you dispute that? I didn't realize the age restriction and forced PC requirements would be a part of the competition at the time.
Pretty sure I apologized about the GDQ thing as well. I thought it was about showing them the fastest runs, so I figured it only make sense that the best were there instead. Turns out it's a more relaxed event than I thought, and it's cool that you did it.
I apologized for the partnership thing. That's all I can do.
I've never gone to the extent of attacking your character. I don't know where you're getting that from. That's a serious accusation, and it kind of bothers me you'd say that.
So, you're telling me what I was doing? I'll say it again: I was voicing a concern. The system is not one I would choose.
As I said before I responded to you, it wasn't meant to be directed at the individuals chosen specifically. It was a hypothetical question about the individuals chosen, regardless of who they are.
People can make their own minds up Max, I'm not continuing this.
I'm not sure how many were having there first time experience with karting but I found it a crazy adrenaline rush.Originally Posted by NSP_I_VeNoMz Go to original post
You need some super strong arms to absorb the recoil given back to you from the steering wheel!
Also the crash was a shame but when we are all trying to go crazy fast and knock off those precious seconds anything can happen in the heat of the moment
So nobodys fault ^^
I remember you feeling a little nauseous after the event venomz aye :P
@Dalibor I share some photos of the Karting here
Sandy and Fin were some serious speedsters on the track![]()
It was my first time karting as well.
Can confirm adrenaline rush was very strong, felt drained during my 2nd session.
Also can confirm everyone's hands including mine felt really painful after each session from gripping so hard to have full control of the kart.
Thanks SO much for posting that amazing picture of me Blazehaha it's all good, I think I show how we were both feeling after both our 2nd session.
Another short story...
So as I said in my previous story, there were 2 groups so there weren't TOO many karts on the track at once for safety reasons etc.
Me and Blaze were in the same group which was pretty awesome.
The track was fairly narrow so trying to pass someone was a tough task unless they let you after bashing them lots or if you were tactical about it (as I will soon explain)
So about 2 minutes through our 2nd session I got stuck behind none other than Mr Blaze. For about 4 minutes, he just wouldn't let me past no matter what I tried (probably because we both took the corners quite tight)
After about 4 minutes of seeing nothing but Blaze's behind I decided that was it, I need to get past if I'm going to get a really quick time hopefully nobody could beat. Coming around the top left corner in the picture I posted, I didn't slow down, Blaze did... As you can imagine this didn't end very well.
My kart flung around the corner perfectly and I carried on as if nothing happened.
Blaze on the other hand went hurdling towards the outside of the track and spun out (I think he had to stop and raise his hand to call a supervisor over to move his kart) (LOL)
My goal was achieved. Or so I thought.
After about 2 laps I was feeling quite nauseous from the gas I was stuck behind for the 4 minutes had built up so I slowed down a bit to relax, until I started to get someone bashing me over and over again as a type of pay back.
Blaze made it his goal of the session to spin me out, which I'm sad to say he achieved.
If I remember correctly he spun me out on the same corner and made me put my hand up as there wasn't a reverse.
As Blaze and me went around most of the 2nd session together, we both inhaled way too much fumes for it to be healthy, and it took about 2-3 hours before I felt normal again after having my head down during dinner
If we ever go karting again, I promise I won't bash you Blaze, unless you're too slow for my liking
Hope everyone enjoyed this story.
Maybe I'll tell the story of the whole #soon, soon. Kappa.
Unless a particular someone would like to tell it themselves![]()
Shut up Max. You're just salty that you didn't get to go. Looks like everybody had a good time. Would have been a more blast if i and oOzi and iStriide and Swag were invited too. Cant forget WILLYUMZ either. But hey, it is what it is. Most of us haven't been on a trials bike in more than a year, not exactly rocket science on why. But everybody had a great time, right?! /Salt
