No it wasn't. Maximilian armour was about 23kg (original museum piece). They were between 25-30kg at most, usually even less than that. The gear that modern soldiers wear is actually heavier at around 30-35kg.

Again, for the nth time, and as XxmalakithxX also said above (and I did a few posts above), even the heavier examples of medieval full plate armour suite was barely as heavy as the eqipment of a modern day fireman or a soldier. And unlike theirs, armored knights burden is very well articulated, taliored to fit, and distributed nicely over the body, rather than being forced on a single area.

And in game Warden, graphically, doesn't even seem to have a heavy kind of armour.

What is particularly disappointing about this game for me is, for game with so much supposed research, and competitive pvp among 3 most popular warrior cultures, it is doing too much of myth reinforcing in my opinion. "Knights in armor = snails" is one of those myths.

    This...

Only the very late Japanese armour is considerably lighter and more mobile than European full plate, but it's also considerably less protective. Don't get me wrong it still provides very good protection, but with more weak spots than Euro armour. Earlier ones were infact both heavier and less protective than their contemporaries in Europe, and they hung all the weight on wearer's shoulders, not distributing it evenly. Back then it didn't matter all that much since Samurai were more cavalry than infantry, and the thing that provide mobility was the horse.

I didnt really felt that the warden was slower than other class besides assassins. His top light attack and zone attack are quite fast.

Looks like he is wearing a mix of leather, mail and plate armor over a gambeson.

The Warden is awesome. Perfect if you want a character that can changes tactics effectively during a match. This is from my experience in 1v1 duels only. Did not play Domination really so it may be different there.

OP has no idea what he's talking about. A noob screaming on a forum. Sorry, case closed. Examples have been given and I don't feel like giving advice to a brat.

You DO realise that they wore more than just the plain plate armour, right? Chainmail + Leather + the weapons?

All this talk about weapon weights and armour is all very interesting (well no actually) but it doesn't change the fact that the warden is basically a useless class. No attacks, no speed, no damage, everything easily blocked and done better by other classes that also do more. The warden and the kensai are both utter garbage and I can't see any purpose for them in duels at least.

Full gear was around 30kg and very well balanced over their body. Ever wore full medieval plate with all the extra's? You'd know it doesnt even feel as heavy.

For the people who think knights had trouble moving and were slow:

And FYI, only the lawbringer has full plate in this game. The other 3 have very light gear. The warden seems to wear a few pieces of plate, some chainmail and a gamberson. This would actually make his gear lighter than what the Orochi and Kensei have in this game. They wear wooden armor (which is dumb), but it's safe to say it's hardwood otherwise there is no point in wearing it to begin with. Hardwood is very heavy.

EDIT: As a reply to you, you never worse plate without the rest, it would be really uncomfortable and pretty useless.
