there's no infinite shoulder combo because of stamina at least, and u can easy side step. But even so the character is very good, one of the best

You said "class that is so easy to counter and not skilled based it hurts to play"

Now go watch iSkys play the Warden on Twitch, he is easy in the top 5 players of For Honor....in his stream he played for 3 hours and did not lose a single 1v1 or 2v2 and he was fighting good players. Warden for the WIN, you just need to L2P

IF you side step. I will just guard break you and continue my combo. I promise you a good Warden will destroy you if you side step charge. They only effective way is to dodge backwards. IE roll dodge

Alright, from what I see, some characters are powerful for low skill level fights, some are powerful at higher levels of play, and some are good at both.

Warden seems so-so for low skilled matches, but pretty good in high level fights. Indeed at highest levels of skill, Warden even seem to be one of the best characters.

The fact is, not everyone will be able to dedicate the time to get up to the high levels of competence. Knights, unless you go Peacekeeper, seem to pull the shortest straw at lower level fights.

While Warden is mostly fine at higher levels of play, I do believe that he needs more chain options at the very least. These wouldn't shift things too much at higher levels, but would balance things up for lower levels of play. I also personally believe that his top heavy attack can be made uninterruptible. It is waay slow already, giving it uninterruptible status would make opposing party to respect the move. In high levels this again wouldn't throw things off much, as the move would get parried 10/10 there.

As it is, game supports the view of "bulky armor, bulky sword, slow knights", as people have spoke of in the thread. A well made suite of plate armour was not heavier than a modern soldier's equipment, or even the photography bag some of us carry on our backs. Also, unlike previous two, it is very well articulated and weight is distributed well rather than concentrating on a single part of body. A good longsword is about 1.5 kgs, and very well balanced. They can be ligher even, or heavier, up to 2-2.5 kgs maximum, though 2.5 would be very rare, and more in territory of true two handers like a montante. Infact, a good longswords is very often easier to wield than most single handed cutting swords, as the latter tend to be balanced more blade heavy and therefore requires more strength. Funnily, in game Warden seem to wear a funny mix-match armour which seem to comprise mostly of cloth gambeson of all thnigs... so if anything he theoretically should be even faster than a plated knight, but isn't even as fast as one. Both German (Liechtenauer tradition) and Italian (Fiore tradition) schools of longsword preach keeping the pressure and initiave always on.

I personally won't be able to dedicate much time to the game, and the faction I personally care for is knights. Unless I improve myself to super high levels of play, I'll always be pulling the short stick, and likely also my hair off. Whereas, a vikings or samurai player with similar levels of skill will do just fine (well apart from kensei perhaps, that one also seem to have it rough).

For this reason, I have ended my hype and decided not to buy For Honor, or perhaps eventually get it when it's comfortably in the depths of bargain bin. I do appreciate it won't be like this for many players, and I wish Ubi success for tacking an idea like this one. But as it is, I don't see factions as balanced for all levels of play.

Warden is one of the best characters in the game.

    Don't feed the troll.

the opponent will light attack u before your shoulder animation ends, you cannot GB in that conditions
Backwards roll is useless for 1v1 in any situations, just a panic button.

Only the assassin classes can pull of that LA. Backwards is most definitely not a panic button.

    Ill just agree to disagree

Love how people here think that a knight wears armor that he can barely move in. FYI, the late Samurai armor is about the same weight as European plate is. And a katana is about the same weight as a longsword. Learn history before yelling stupid steriotypes.
