Press on RT lead to change target

Sometimes when I try spend powerful attack (pressing RT) leads to switch target. This is quite rare, about 1 in 50 matches. I usually do not even pay attention to it in the heat of battle, as it was only for a few seconds, but in the last match, this was whole match I could not spend powerful attacks when I was pointed at the target. Without targeting powerful attack works well. This is normal? Did anyone else have this?

I am also having this problem. I can't seem to use my heavy hitter either. It just has targeting issues instead of actually just using the move that its meant to.

I also faced this problem. Maybe this problem occures, when gamepad is connected after the game has started. Restarting controller don't helps, only restarting the game.

I'm also having this problem. It happens when my controller disconnect during the game, when I connect again this problem shows up. Only way to fix that I found is restarting the game.

Playing on PC with controller RT almost always enters guard mode

I have a similar issue as well except it happens most of the time. When playing on pc I tried to just complete the tutorial and heavy attacks almost never work, instead my character reenters guard mode.

I'm not entirely convinced it has anything to do with controller. I use the steam controller and tried switching my RT to output as mouse 2 to see if it made a difference and it did not. I've been trying to see if any control combination is causing it, but the only consistent thing I've noticed is that it happens more frequently when there are multiple targets nearby (for obvious reasons)

Change target really should just be unbound from RT and moved to something like R3.

Yeh i had this happen a few times too. xbox 360 wireless controller. LIke OP said, it didnt happen all the time but enough to lose a few matches because of it. Not only could you not lock target but it meant that you basically didnt have a heavy attack for that match. Occured in all of the game modes. I found that changing lock target to be toggle fixed the problem but not ideal as it was a bit jarring after holding lock down for so long. After restarting game it would be back to normal.
