I have had a horrible time on Xbox one. And everyone I have talked to agrees with me, ill start a list of all the issues.
1.) 4v1 is ****ing stupid the only way to even stand a chance and win is to run.
2.) Blocking on console is incredibly difficult when your weapon is poised in a different position of the three. WHY DO I HAVE TO MOVE MY RS TWO TIMES TO BLOCK AFTER THE ATTACK IS INITIATED?
3.) There is no skill based matchmaking. Someone can I have a team of all rank 3's while the other has a team of 14+. Parties don't get matched with other parties; they get matched with solo queue people.
4.) The ability to change the color of certain HUD colors is a must have in this game, so you notice them better. That is not a feature, though, for examples when you are being hit your screen goes red but when they are initiating another attack that is red as well, and it is nearly impossible to notice.
5.) The way they launch the beta a week before launch just shows the community that this game is the final product unless they plan on delaying the launch(Which should be done).
6.) This game was very clearly not created for the console and obviously given no thought to it. This game was created for PC and PC only.
7.) The characters are in no way balanced at all
This is just a small list compared to how **** this game is overall. I have over 6+ hours put into this game.
4v1 is hard, but is dooable:Originally Posted by aJ2I8 Go to original post
Most of these kills were in 3v1 scenarios. Learning to block and parry help alot with building up Revenge, which allows you to kill at least one attacker much easier, or giving you a chance to flee. Additionally, don't put yourself into those positions. I've had other rounds where I was frustrated because I'd get trapped in 4v1. My fault because I was in the enemy territory trying to capture a point with no backup. It happens. Just be aware of tactics. This isn't COD.
Blocking isn't that hard. Yes, it can be frustrating to have to keep blocking the same position; however, once you understand the fundamentals, it gets easier.
I can agree with skill based matchmaking, but with a closed Beta, I can only assume that the player pool isn't as high as it would be after launch, so the need for this for a Beta probably wasn't a huge priority.
I do agree, the game probably needs to be delayed. At least you can play on Console. PC gamers with laptops cannot really play this game at all. For me, the screen is completely white. Makes no sense. I have to use my desktop.
Your point 6 is... I don't even know the word. This is what most PC gamers say when a game is developed and ported to PC. Instead of saying that it's obviously created for PC not console, why not give us reasons why? Is it because using a controller is hard? Are there other reasons? How can anyone understand your point if you don't describe it. It's BETA feedback. You need details and descriptions, not just gripes. No one can fix anything without understanding the problem.
I feel there is some balance in the characters. Not everyone is going to be equally matched. Each character has it's own strengths and weaknesses. This is why you need to learn tactics. You cannot fight each character the same exact way. I do not fight a Heavy the same way I fight an Assassin or Vanguard.
If you haven't, I would recommend doing the tutorials in the "How to Play" part of the game. They give more insight into how to increase performance.
1.) Getting outnumbered isn't something they've programmed into the game mate.
2.) I use a DS4 and never have problems blocking.
3.) Valid.
4.) That is intentional. Lots of things disrupt your ability to see your hud, and many abilities outright disable it temporarily. For no longer than any of them last though it's really on you for not being able to read the enemy for those few seconds where you can't see your hud.
5.) Well, yeah.
6.) Quite the opposite actually. The PC version almost feels like a port, and KB+M isn't even really viable compared to any pad.
7.) They're actually pretty balanced. As balanced as any fighting game's roster at least. A few characters have some distinct advantages over specific other characters, but they can all be countered by various approaches.
While I personally have sparse, though critical concerns with the game's actual gameplay, it is fine on the whole. The bigger issues that FH struggles with are
1) It doesn't explain itself at all. Everything from feints to usage of the assets is practically hidden.
2) Connecting
3) Getting disconnected
4) Lag
5) USING P2P IN 2017 (see above)
6) lots of bugs like menu overlays persisting even when the menu has closed, or spawning in under the map (which only happened once, but still).
This game does have a great deal of issues, but unless you're talking about a Warlord headbutting you into your troop wall there's very little that can't be worked around when it comes to the combat. The greater issues are all deeper, basic things; related to connecting, learning, and understanding the game (which is why I think a lot of people seem to still have a hard time dealing with even basic mechanics, like guard breaking). If you go to other sites, you'll find threads of people complaining that there's little you can do against having your guard broken, even though there's two ways to counter it in the core mechanics alone. Why? Because this game doesn't explain it's self, it doesn't run well, and frankly, it just doesn't sell it's self well.
As much as I hate using "well, its Beta" as an excuse, I honestly didn't expect everything to be explained in the Beta. No Beta I've ever played has laid out all of the technical details.Originally Posted by Krinkul Go to original post
However, great response to everything. I do use KB + M, and haven't had issues. I did initially, but after playing around with the sensitivity options, I've got it how I like it. Much easier to play now. No smooth scrolling, and guard sensitivity all the way up.
