I have been asking for this for a while. Can't believe it hasn't been implemented yet. Friendly fire would do wonders for the DZ in this game. Don't llike it, learn to aim.Originally Posted by PlayingOnMySofa Go to original post
Also had an idea of teammates inheriting the lowest timer in their group immediately upon leaving a safe room or checkpoint.
Solid solution to groups using the 'Bro shield'
Simply point your cross hair at the said exploiter/exploiters and click a button to toggle them friendly on/off.
Marked friendly player shoots at you? they are now rogue (because they shot at you) and the marker is gone.
Friendly markers don't take damage. Can be toggled on/off with a simple click of a button.
The mechanic is already in the game and is an improvement to what we already have. Granted, marking several players in a complete clusterf**k situation in the DZ is complicated but it can still be used frequently against the 'bro shield' exploiters here and there.
For example, I was chasing a manhunt into the subway the other night. It was only one guy in manhunt status and his 3 cronies (none rogues) protecting him. The 3 cronies just stood in front of him completely blocking my line of sight and there was basically nothing that I could do to take this guy out without going rogue myself. I'd hit him with a couple of shots then i'd have to hold fire when his team veered in and out of my cross hair. All I'd have to do is mark/toggle the 3 of them friendly. It'd only take a second as they were all bunched together like penguins and then light em up. . This would force him and his team to actually fight. It was 4v1 anyway as my team wanted to farm rather than fight and were off extracting somewhere.
i aggree. but usually when i got on a 19 seconds i either pull back and wait it off. or 1shot the **** out of everyone with a 1 shotta 1 killa sniperOriginally Posted by turboxscream Go to original post
I hate the 19s timer but I have to admit that this is a valid point!Originally Posted by Ubi-gabelikes Go to original post
That video shows just how incredibly stupid the gameplay in the DZ is right now. I wish all you people that enjoy running around in 3 foot circles and shooting blindly would stay the F away from me while I'm in the DZ. Invariably, it always happens where I'll see a group playing ring around the rosy, I'll get the hell outta dodge, and then a few minutes later they're all over me. You all can have the DZ ******** in its current state, ganking IS NOT good. Although I will say it's pretty comical to see groups doing this, however, you do look stupid in the process.Originally Posted by Solitude-Fr Go to original post
What about rewrite from scratch the rogue mechanics? this is, set a toggle that allow you activate the rogue status (that is the only way to get rogue status). Then:
- While rogue, the only way to loose your rogue status is running out the timer. As rogue you can harm another players and all PVE DZ activities are more rewarding (credits, xp and loot). Also as rogue you can take damage from other players.
- While no rogue, you cannot harm another players (except rogue ones) and PVE DZ are less rewarding.
That way if you voluntary take the risk of being rogue, you got more reward but if you don't want that risk, you can still do PVE and rogue hunts. And never go rogue by accident.
Is only a quick idea, sure have some holes but I think is a good (and better than current) mechanics to start with.
But won't that make me a bad person and a sociopath, and prevent me from getting into Heaven when I die?Originally Posted by MDC_Postal Go to original post
No thank you. I'd rather not risk my soul to eternal damnation!![]()
Which is as intended jonsarik because when you are rogue EVERYONE shoots at you. Both PVPers and PVErs who you stumble upon.Originally Posted by jonsarik73 Go to original post
Rogues don't check their targets is a false statement. When I go rogue I know fully who I am engaging. Since I am rogue I have to kill everyone around me because I am CERTAIN they are about to do the same.
Even in real life, "bad guys" aren't burdened with concern for collateral damage or injury to innocent bystanders, whereas the "good guys" are.Originally Posted by jonsarik73 Go to original post
That's just part of what makes them the "bad guys".
