Suggesting a DLC idea to the Devs !

I would like to suggest a DLC called For Honor Wounded.

This would be an add on that would have a slight wounding effect on the characters limbs slowing reaction times. It would not be drastic but as you hack at an arm lets say, it would get slower.

All the flashy icons would be minimal. Your would see the blood stains or splashes on the character to show damage (already in game). Also the arena you are fighting in would be large so you can have room to back off, maybe hide?

Maybe also a "mercy" move that gives you points for allowing your enemy to slightly recover and then continue to battle. Good for playing against a buddy.

I know its a crazy idea and probably a nightmare for the Devs.

Its inspired by an old PS1 game Bushido Blade. A guys arm or leg would dangle and he would limp around. It had horrible graphics but i never forgot that feeling that you got em good with your sword.

Thanks for reading my nutty idea.

I would love to hear a response from the Programmers to explain why this would be very difficult to do, I find it very interesting.

    Thanks n Cheers!

    This shouldn´t be a DLC

It would be nice to see such a thing added to a game and would certainly add more depth to it. I dont think it should be a DLC though, rather a free Gamemode, something like a Hardcore or something like that.

From a beginner programmer and all around game dev I think it would be possible, but it would take a lot of time. Not sure how the engine works, and as I said, I am a beginner myself, but from what I think the detections would be hard to do. Given to the fact all the weapons would have to get a stat or something in a similar sense to control the damage to the given limb (at least I think so), it would require tons of maths and balancing. Then theres all the bloodsplatters and such, which would change the model and could impact performance for lower end machines (depending on how it would be done of course)
Now don´t take my word from this, like mentioned two times before, I only begin to code and learn game developement (using Unity engine and C#). All engines are different, but I think it would be possible. It would just take a lot of effort.

    Thanks for the interesting reply.
I thought if it was paid DLC it would have more of a chance of being made, LOL.

The calculations must be insane the more i think about it. I dont know why it is so appealing to have a character that can be worn down by injury but I think it would add even more of a tactical approach.

I find many games lack that feeling of contact, not a flash of lightning stuff. Its hard to explain. I would live to see something like this. I wish an UBI programmer was allowed to comment.

Thanks buddy. All the best on your programming, im jealous.
    Cheers.
