They probably do so to keep people from being able to farm, if quitting auto ended the match and gave you exp and currency right away what would stop you from grouping with a friend and having them quit the second a match starts every time?
This game doesn't have much of a competitive aspect unless they make your players gear only cosmetic when doing 1v1's and 2v2's, and the only thing I can see them doing is if you quit/lag out of a 1v1 or 2v2 it prevents you from joining another 1v1 or 2v2 for a minute or so.
I agree. Last duel I played i nearly had flawless victory but with last bit of HP he dissconnected. I had just a bit of my hp so Bot with full HP didn't have problem. And because BOT are stronger than some players he won, which was frustrating because from 3-0 it went to 2-3.
My solution is, if it is duel, if he leaves give the oponent victory/give the oponent this round and next starts with bot if there is another one/spawn bot with same HP as player. It is like playing 2v1 then.
Don't let you cue up for regular duels with friends? Just let friends do custom games which give nothing just as it would normally...Originally Posted by MrFuddyDuddy Go to original post
You cannot join a 1v1 duel while in a party, so there is no way to farm a 1v1 duel unless you get lucky and get paired with a buddy.Originally Posted by MrFuddyDuddy Go to original post
Wait, you actually get things for 1v1? All I get is a victory, followed by a server error. No currency or anything for my time. Just Deploy War Assets, and then next round.Originally Posted by MrFuddyDuddy Go to original post
I say 1 minute is not long enough. I would go with several hours to a day. Lag shouldn't be an issue. They shouldn't be able to join with bad lag. Those type of things should be regionally teamed. I FiOS, an I hate playing against people with "dial-up". A couple times of reallocating server resources, then continuing. Matchmaking should be level based and connection based.
But I feel most drops are rage quits, not lag issues.
These are things I did not know, I only played Dominion either against players or bots, usually in a 3-4 man squad of friends I usually play Battlefield with. Never dabbled with 1v1's or 2v2's, I shouldn't have assumed so my opinion on the matter has therefor changed, though only slightly as half of that opinion is no longer valid.Originally Posted by headorthegut Go to original post
I think a good fix then could for 1v1 and 2v2...
Player/s quits, that round ends immediately and the round is reset with the quitting player/s being replaced by a bot.
The player/s who quits will be reprimanded by preventing them from queuing for another 1v1 or 2v2 for 5-10 minutes unless they were playing a custom match.
