Seriously what is with the speeds on half these characters.
You have warden over here swinging his final fantasy sword at such tremendous speeds dealing insane amounts of damage.
Raider is ok with the weapon as he actually swings it kind of slow and always leaves himself vulnerable when trying to do a heavy attack but man the tackle spam is just out of control all people do is charge at you and tackle you.
Kensei is basically in the same area as warden kensei got this giant katana yet he swinging that thing like its made of feathers. And deals massive damage super quick.
Dont even get me started on the conquer the shield bash spam is just out of control
Peacekeeper lol seriously thought these were supposed to be like warriors so why does she literally have a ability to teleport basically. And onto of that just the insane cheese moves she has. Dash knife lunge dash knife lunge over and over at literally the cost of no stamina. Her attacks are literally unblockable and almost impossible to counter, does just way to much damage in such a short amount of time and ontop of all that the insane bleed effect is just another addition to what makes here the most OP.
Warlord is again is essentially the same as the conquer constant shield bash spam at the cost of no stamina
The berserker seems pretty decent only thing maybe is hes does slightly little to make damage but overall hes a good character to fight against as his moves are counterable if you get the timing down and also hes pretty vulnerable most times
Nobushi lol seriously just as bad as peacekeeper. Basically infinite stamina, insane speed, insane damage, just absurd range, easy cheeseable moves, the absurd bleed effect. Nobushi needs a nerf in basically all departments.
Orochi is ok, his moves are pretty bland are super easy to counter, does low damage and honestly has low stamina. Orochi honestly can use a little buf if you ask me. He seems to get tired a lot quicker then most characters. His attacks do low damage but this is made up with his decent speed so I think thats good. But he really has no special moves like other characters every other character has a specific unblockable move except for orochi so everything just constantly gets countered.
And now something about the game in general is the throwing people off the maps yes its cool but it's something that is just way to easy to pull off and is becoming a major problem in the game. The point of this game is supposed to be about the tense sword fights and whatnot but with this throwing people off the map it essentially ruins the gameplay as most people just sit next to the edge and wait to counter you and just throw you off. Its just a cheap tactic and a cowards way out of the tense sword fights.
Only classes that need a look at for balancing are conqueror and warlord. Play more and learn.
I only play Orochi and i agree with everything this user has submitted regarding the class. He is fast and a great kill stealer but everything gets countered and he has incredibly low health and stamina. The health issue is fine but dude i cant even guard break someone twice and hit them 3 times to kill them before im panting on the ground. He seems like the worse class for 1v1 and 2v2 but is decent to good in 4v4.
Samurai are the most broken of them all. Kensai is oke but nobushi and orichi are in many situations OP. For example in a 1v1 against nobuchi or orichi you are gonna lose because nobushi and her stick and orichi with his op guard break move were he deals lots of damage. So ubisoft plz nerf nobushi and orichi
The only problem with Orochi is the fact that you can do two maybe three attacks before you can't move because you are out of stamina. The character is a counter fighter so having hard to pull off unblockables is fine and stating there are no unblockables is wrong there is three the free second light top hit, the hurricane, and lastly the gust yes the last two are hard to pull off but they do alot of damage so they are fine. Another big problem is the back dash and guard breaks the fact that I do a backwards dash to dodge a guard break yet still get hit is just plain stupid then there's the fact that you can't dash to dodge alot of attacks because they just have absurd range to them.
OP is clearly an Orochi player suffering from "I'm bad so this game is broken".... not to be a **** bro but gitgud... youve played for less than 24 hours and you think you understand all concepts of the game? Lolerskates
Honestly there is some balancing that needs to be done but not that much. Notably though, with the orochi that I play, i find that for an assassin he is far slower than the peacekeeper or the berzerker if you wan to playoffensively and his attacks don't do nearly as much damage even with the weapon buffs i have. I feel that for the orochi he needs to be more nible; maybe better dodge mechanics, like a slightly wider range for dodging left, right, and backwards so that it doesn't need to rely so much on defence which, for an assassin, they shouldn't anyway. he could use a bit more stamina and a tiny bit more attack, or just more stamina and moves that are slightly. it doesn't make sense that a sword wielded with two hands is slower, momentum wise, than a sword swung with one hand or an axe.Originally Posted by xWTOx SkiLLz Go to original post
The only major gripe i have with orochi is his lack of speed for an assassin and the fact that his stance can't be held that long for a defensive character so i feel like all assassins should have a bit longer hold stance so they can play a bit better against tougher opponents because, really, there's not much you cna do. if people played the game like it's supposed to this wouldn't be an issue but with button mashing, combat gets so confusing the orochi doesn't really stand a chance.
As for other issues, the vanguard classes seem fine; good defence and attacks, though the raider does need that tackle patched; probably the best way would be to have it used once and drain enough stamina so he can only do one attack; it isn't feasible to think someone could use a full body tackle, carry someone around with them, and still have enough strength left so swing a huge weapon multiple times. For a game that prides itself on realism, that's a bit silly.
The peacekeeper and Nobushi need a nerf on their bleeds; going for a full bleed build it isn't hard to kill someone with one go with the peacekeeper and considering that it's difficult to GB, though definitely possible, it makes the GB's on the PK as much a spam as the raider tackle. either nerf the bleed damage or nerf the amount of times she attacks to 2 hits instead of three and lower the damage since it is with a smaller weapon.
the nobushi's range could be lowered slightly; i once got hit across a battle line, through troops, with the nobushi, which i think is a little silly. the poke's range is a bit too far but otherwise the nobushi is fine; low health and armour make it easily killable if you can block right but that move sometimes can't be blocked from my experience.
The only other gripe I have is the shield units; that shield makes GB almost a necessity for them but those people almost aways expect that so getting around that defence is difficult for assassins or any character not strong enough to tank a few hits. the Warlord and conqueror also shouldn't be able to block four people hiting them at once; even with a shield, from all angles, that is realistically unfeasible and makes them a bit OP, so i think that to fix that they could make it more into their style that the shield is an easy block but attacking from the side opposite to the shield is easier to get through.
the point of this is i think at some point yes the creators have to realize that this is a game and not real life, however if they make certain aspects of For honor more gamey than others, all we're going to get is people using exploits to win; we'll see tons of raiders and PK's and Nobushi's but few of the other characters because they can't get an exploit, and then the player base drops because of spammers who just use the known exploits.
What to take from this: Ubisoft Montreal, as a fellow Canadian, I don't want to see Ubisoft screw this up like they did the Divison where now only certain meta builds work. don't be like the division and fix your damn issues so that players don't leave your game because you failed to look at the exploits and can't balance the classes to make it fair for an Orochi to fight a warlord, or a nobushi able to be killed by a warden. As well as this, if you go for realism in your game but allow for infinite spamming of certain moves, then you've failed at the realistic look. Pick one; this is either a realistic game, or a gamey game, it cna have elements of both, but not BE both; it isn't that type of game/
The game itself is solid, but the classes do need to be rebalanced.
P.S; I would love more speed on the orochi for more aggressive play :3
Which OP GB move for orochi? There's the ones where he can knock you off or move you away from you which are the same with every single character, there's the two hit combo he can do before you can block unless you don't block him, and there's the heavy attack which rarely hits more than once unless you can't block.Originally Posted by Niekgaming11 Go to original post
As an orochi, against a competent player, my attacks can be blocked if they know what they're doing.
I do agree on Nobushi though to an extent; she is easily able to be blocked if you just know to watch for her poke; most people do it so it's easy to block if you expect it. GB her or odge right/left and you're fine
I have played years of Mount & Blade and I have 20+ hours in this game. I just lost 11 games in a row as the warlord. He has extremely low range, he is slow and his stamina sometimes goes away pretty fast.Originally Posted by CaptainPwnet Go to original post
