"Faction" Wars? Or just end-game reward game mode.

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but after playing the game since the closed beta started, I feel compelled to post this.

I enjoy the dueling system, which ensures a fair one vs one system, as well as the brawl. The biggest concern I have is what appears to be a very useless "faction" war system. From what I understand, you choose a faction, represent that faction and submit war assets to gain dominance over the region. I was very interested in this concept, of a dynamic map that changes with players attacking and defending the other faction.

It seems that picking a faction, besides just receiving end game rewards to which ever faction wins is about it. So as a Knight player, that knight player can swap and play any of the other factions heroes. Doesn't that really make it kinda useless, what the game modes potential might have been? Or is this just a closed beta thing? When I thought of faction wars, I thought of teams of Knights fighting Vikings, or Samurai teams fighting Knight teams. There is very little uniqueness to "picking" a faction then and honestly no consequence.

    Anyone else feel this way?

    Same.

There is no point at all and you can switch every season without consequence. But its something to do between rounds and is better than nothing between lobbies to be honest.

It should at least team you up with people in the same faction. As it stands the faction war is literally just a flashy mode select screen.

Honestly, the entire system feels like crap. It's a nice idea on paper, but in practice it has devolved into a self-pandering weeb-simulator. The amount of population bias has rendered the system a one-sided "contest" that does nothing to reward skilled play, just a swarm of people spamming war-assets 50 times faster than the other factions.

    sadly, this could be true.

in addition, the rewards, the winning faction gets, will let people flock to the winning faction in the next season. nobody wants to be on the losing side*and lose rewards,*every season. systems like this crashed in other games as well.*warhamer online had*a comparable problem as well. the servers were very one sided, because players played their character, who were part of the dominant faction.

this*is going to happen here as well. with the exception, that you can still play your berserker, even if you are part of the samurai faction.
