If they keep running push for 1000 pts they canīt run in the end game, Itīs pretty good balance that way early and mid game more strategie late game Skill. If they run, they arenīt good at fighting (cause they donīt fight ) and canīt competetit for the spots, falling behind in pts. After you got the pts hunt them down. Just win with pure skill

    sorry for my bad english

    Agree

I agree, people in Dominion always running away. I almost kill him and then he starts running, sometimes across whole map. I really do not know why running does not consume stamina? Or why people with low health - being injured - ru as fast as others.

Yeah... it's hard to find a solution to this stuff, but it really is annoying. And I think the rolls are big culprit. Even if you wait till you get really close to the guy, before you swing, he can still i-frame dodge it. It's ridiculous and terribly annoying.

And I agree with having a strict timer after the revive timer for the teammates is gone. And maybe the timer should deplete faster if you run, but move slowly or not at all if you're in guard mode.

Fortunately, this problem isn't a exploit. Running in end game doesn't improve your odds at all. It's just trolling and annoying, a sore way to lose.

As for running when losing a fight, specially as an assassin, that's fine. I don't think many people realize how little Dominion is about fighting and how much it is about the zones. I have dudes running away from me all the time, but I don't chase them, because boosting a zone is way more important.

And I have a little worry about the what I call "roaching", running around inside a zone as a way to contest it without fighting. For now it's a bit hard to tell if it's gonna be OP or not. Dominion is all about boosting your zone and not letting the enemy boost his. So, this can eb a big deal.

And yet another possibility is having a chase mechanic, much like in one of the AC MPs. If you're chasing an enemy (running in his "trail"), you get a speed buff. But even with such a rule, perhaps the roll would continue to be an issue. Screw the roll. I wish it didn't exist.

10 minutes? Upon the elimination round, the timer counts down from 2:00 minutes.

Most characters have an attack that goes along sprinting, or chasing. Even if she has a bit f distance on you, you can gain ground and the attack will connect.

If 4 people couldn't catch a running assassin, then the fault is on the players, not the mechanics.

I made a suggestion in my thread that you lose movement speed proportionate to missing health, most likely a percentage of speed.

Not only is this realistic and solves the issue of opponents trying to flee from a losing battle, it also means fast characters can't sprint for 10 minutes in a game like Usain Bolt in armor.

Etiher you haven't played enough or you are the one running and you do it wrong. Running can't be taken away obviously but it needs to be regulated. Any assassin and some other classes can run away from anyone, while sprinting you don't consume stamina, you get to full speed the moment you press it and you can make hard turns without the animation even slowing you. Add to that that you can even increase sprint speed with the gear.

A lot of people say let them run, capture the point. Sure, but they aren't running to nowhere, they are running to another point, or just wasting time until they can heal and/or regroup, and there is NO WAY to catch them, even if you are as fast as them it's a matter of luck with how fast they can go and turn.

Also, people started abusing ladders, going up one will give them all the power. Try to go up after them? They press circle and dash down, hitting you into the ground + a lot of dmg. Try to attack them? Either you do almost nothing or they are already too far up. This game is not about running, it should be a last resort, a high risk high reward strategy maybe, but right now it's just the best thing to do. It makes the game less fun for the people suffering AND for the people doing it. I've done it, it's very effective, it's very boring as well. REALLY hope they look into it.

    Possible solutions:
Require acceleration to pick up speed when you begin sprinting, give a chance to the attacker to catch them with a long reaching hit if they read the sprint intentions.
Make sprinting spend a lot of stamina if you use it right after being in a fight with someone, or with less than total health maybe.

Basically we need to find a way to punish abusing sprint to get out of every battle while keeping it useful to move around the map.

Power Ranger Super Dark Dirk Death Master Weeb mentality.

Basically they ambush you and get a couple of hits in, then run away again because they nearly died from hitting themselves in the head with their tiny fist flurry, then finish you off with that dumb bow at range.

    Exactly.

I have never had a problem catching the last survivor, regardless of hero. If you/your team can't trap and kill someone, that's your fault. Especially in dominion with added feats. I'd say it's either bad team composition or simply lack of skill. On top of that, it's a 2 minute timer from the start of break. Not THAT big of a deal.

The only time we had any trouble was with a ladder clinger, but it was resolved with a heavy leap from above. If you run into that problem, give it a shot. Worst case scenario, you fall and die and your teammates on bottom can revive you. Alternatively, just stand there and taunt them.
