I just got done with my first domination match where my team had over 1200 points and the enemy had 700 points, then a few seconds later, we only had 600 points and the enemy had 1300. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? hacker? glitch? or this actually a thing that happens in the game? because if this is a thing, it needs to be gone from the game at release.
I was actually liking domination as i was playing the match, which is a good compliment coming from a player who hates domination in ALL GAMES that have it. But when this happened, i went from enjoying the game to being ready to rage quit this game for the night. Domination is already a bad game mode, but when you add in the no lives during the last push, that makes the game mode unplayable. Why did the enemy not have lives when we were winning? once the enemy was winning, all of my team died, and the enemy automatically won. the game didn't even give us a chance to fight back.
It's definitely weird. But, the points reversal you saw is a game mechanic. It seems to me that if you lose control of an objective, the other team gains the points for it as well as your team losing the same amount. I'm not sure how the point value is worked out though. Maybe the points that you earned while holding the objective is what you lose.
And as far as your scenario with almost winning. . .I've had that happen too. My team was at the breaking point with no respawns, and I died. Out of nowhere my team started taking over objectives and it took us out of that breaking point and I could spawn back in.
I think both of those scenarios are how the game is supposed to work.
I've definitely noticed this too. I myself am much more of a team deathmatch type, but with Dominion I think it is just a mechanic of the game. I think it's the devs' idea of programming it to work so that the game with consistently update the objective based on which team is holding the better objective or something. I could be totally wrong, but yeah I've encountered this same thing
